Chapter Seven Cannon found himself looking over the file again for his contract. His instructions were clear, find and kill Diana Coldbourne. But he had a good feeling this wasn't going to be ones average contract. He was nearing the grove now as he read it again. Diana Coldbourne: Eldest sister of the Coldbourne's. known for seduction and manipulation. Ashen haired, blue eyed, 6'1. Combat abilities unknown. Currently is in Kakusa grove and suspected to be with the Tokage Clan. Tokage Clan: An ancient cult that has been at war with the Grenwald clan for centuries. Both groups have a treaty which prevents the advancement of weaponry so they can fight on even ground. The clan is proficient with bow and arrows, as well as blades and other melee weapons. The Tokage worship Majora, God of time and destruction(they worship him as a deity even though Zane killed him. Three times). Are not aware of Majoras destruction, more likely to be blatantly ignorant. Expect to be hostile at first. Wulfirc, their high priest, was killed recently. His brother Ulfric likely runs the clan now. His appearance is unknown. Majora: To the Tokage Majora is the God that will free them from their mortal hold and grant them immortality. Majora in actuality was a dragon that lived eight thousand years ago, and was killed by The Fierce Deity. Majora came back two years ago and attempted to destroy everything. After being defeated by Zane, he came back a year later and attempted to destroy everything again. He was also defeated then as well. Finally, during the summer of 2016, he was completely abolished once and for all. However the Tokage still revere him. Cannon, your mission is to breach the Tokage and find Diana or any leads to where she had gone. Once she is found, she must be eliminated or pacified. It is up to you to figure out how to breach the clan. However, an alias Is recommended.
For Cannon. Enter the grove when you are ready to begin.
Cannon entered the grove, minus his armor. He was wearing a loose fitted rough wool tunic and pants, both in tatters. His hair was a brownish red, and his eyes a pale green, his skin was also oddly devoid of the scars he normally had.

  •
past tense plz!
The grove consisted of massive green trees. Not only that, but all of them were in a white bloom. It was the end of spring now, after all. The grove was remarkably tranquil and Can could hear the wild life all around him.

  • He slowly walked towards the center of the grove, keenly aware of his surroundings. He felt naked without his armor.

  • The grove was in the middle of the forest. For some reason the entire forest was just called the Kakusa grove. As Falk said, it was because the grove was the main feature and divided the forest into its respective territories. To the east was the Tokage. To the west was the grenwald clan. If Cannon just continued to make his way to the grove, he just had to make a turn and he'd be on his way. That being said, the forest brought an edge of insecurity on him.

  • He continued on uneasy, watching for any sign of movement as he approached the center of the grove.

  • Eventually, he reached the clearing. The sun shone down where he stood as he entered what was known as the Kakusa grove. It was a massive clearing, and the trees blossomed and their leaves blew across the bright green grass. This was the border of the two clans. All he had to do was make his way east, and he would reach the tokage. But he still had a feeling of uneasiness. Why would such a tranquil place produce that feeling?

  • He continued east, unable to shake the feeling as he glanced around his surroundings. He listens and watches for any sign of an enemy.

  • As he continued his trek, he finally heard something. It...was a rustle. Of the bushes ahead of him to the north west.

  • He picked up a decent sized branch from the ground, just in case it's a hostile, and keeps walking.

  • "Did you just pick up a branch as a weapon?" Said a voice from behind Cannon.

  • He turned around slowly, slinging the branch on his shoulder. "Maybe. Why?"

  • A red cloaked figure stepped out of the bush, his bow trained on Cannon. It was Mongolian in design, so it was meant for fast shooting. "No reason, stranger." The cloaked man said. Cannon heard another bow being pulled back from behind him now as well.

  • He remaines standing, the branch resting on his shoulder. There is no fear on his face. "Aren't the bows a tad overkill?"

  • "Said the guy who's holding a stick." Said the new bowman. Both of the cloaked figures chuckled before the first archer asked Can his question. "What are you doing here? What's your business?"

  • Cannon smirked slightly, and dropped the stick. "I'm trying to get away from them. What else?" He gestures towards the side of the grove he came from.

  • "'Them?'" The archer asked. He knew what the man was referring to, but he didn't want to take a second guess.

  • "Grenwald. Who else?" He asked, looking a bit tired. "They don't seem to like my kind."

  • "And what would 'your kind' be?" He asked Can. There was a hint of skepticism in his voice.

  • "I'm a nomad. A shepherd from the mountains on the far side of their territory. One of my sheep went missing and I wandered into their terf looking for it. They didn't like that." He replied.

  • "So you are a mountain man, then?" The second archer asked Can.

  • "No. Mountain men live on the peaks. I live in the glens and valleys between. Well, I did live there. Until those freaks decided they wanted my sheep." He sayed, gesturing towards the woods behind him again.

  • The men seemed less on edge now. The first archer then spoke. "What's your name, Shepard?" He asked.

"Canderouse." He replied, sounding weary. "You aren't going to hand me over to them again, are you?"

  • "We wouldn't dream of it." The second archer said. The first then spoke. "Say, Canderouse. Have you ever...thought about higher beings, before? God, In particular?"

  • "Aye, once or twice." He replied, soundibg slightly confused as the question seemed out of the blue. "Though I can't see how it should matter to a lowly shepherd. I barely made it day to day, let alone had much time for pondering such things."
