Chapter Six Arianna and Isaac had taken to the sea. The ship they boarded was a small vessel for maybe a dozen people. It ran on an engine, so it was able to make more way then a sail boat faster. It had a dark black steel hull and a bright red deck. There was a small cabin at the back of the ship. It consisted of where the captain steered the boat, and a door below that which lead into the crew's quarters. The deck was very empty. It had benches for sitting, which was where the two siblings had found themselves. The breeze from the wind and air made them chilly, but the sea air was also rather relaxing. However, the day was cloudy and they could not see the sun. The clouds churned a dark grey, but it did not rain. However the waves began to pick up.
For Orn
"Count to ten, breath in. Count to ten, breath out." Arianna muttered to herself repeatedly, as she silently stared upon the endless ocean, light blue eyes scanning the horizon. She sighed, checking her current arsenal for all that she had taken: her Blades of Mercy, Beretta pistol, and transforming sniper/nodachi were all upon her, alongside the lightweight set of armor that she had taken to wearing. Isaac didn't join her, as he sat against a bench for support, his right hand clenching a large duffel bag. He had brought his two kamas, his bolt-enhanced pistol, his Arcane arm guard and semi-automatic .223 rifle, a bayonet in the shape of a sword underneath the barrel. He had only taken a lightweight bulletproof vest for armor.

  • The ship continued its journey. The two siblings were the only ones on the dock.
take it away

Alright.
"Hey, Isaac." "Wha-" Isaac was cut off as his eyes suddenly widened, as he threw up his arm to block Arianna's flying fist, which was directed at his previously broken nose. The balled hand collided with his elbow, as Arianna gave her brother a pained smile. Isaac on the other hand leaped back in surprise, eyes still widened. "What was that for?!" "Just seeing your reflexes. Say..." Arianna smirked, her hand tightening around her nodachi. Moments later, and the two had decided on training for a bit. Nothing too destructive, and nothing so energetic that it would drain them of stamina, but still training nonetheless.

  • As they continued to train, the two began to feel droplets on their shoulders. It began to rain lightly.
Still you. Still need a feel for these characters and their relationship before we continue!

Ugh, I'm not good at these sorts of things..
The session finally ended with Arianna parrying her younger brother, before pushing his kamas into the side of the ship before resting the blade upon his neck. Isaac's eyes widened, before he sighed. "Yeah, good...good fight." Arianna smirked, sheathing her weapon as she merely leaned against the railing. "So Isaac...whatcha say to Panta?" "Oh, er...nothing much. Just gave her...a gift." Isaac stammered out, sheathing his own weapons as he stared up at the darkening sky. He was still embarrassed by the shipping that Arianna had pulled, but he smiled a little still. "She's fine, actually. I...I hope I'll see her again.." "Hey. It's fine, Isaac. We'll get through this, kk?" Arianna motioned Isaac towards her, as he merely shook his head and leaned against her frame. Arianna smiled, although it was forced. Her eyes displayed a look of fearfulness, as she stammered out as it began to rain. "We best get inside, or else we'll drown out here.."

  • "Hey!" A tomboyish voice called at the two. The voice came from the steering room, and as the kids looked up they saw their Captain, Scarlett was her name. She had red curly hair and a peacoat over her body. She rested her hands on the railing of the stairs as she gestured to the two. "I'm gunna need two pairs of fresh eyes up here! Think you can lend em?" She asked the two.

"A sniper and an engineer? I think you've got some good eyes! Hold on!" Arianna called up, rising up to Scarlett's location as Isaac trailed behind, much happier than beforehand. "Just point us to what you need to be seen."

  • "Sure thing!" Scarlett said. "C'mon in here." She guided them into the steering room. Inside was a quaint control panel, and the three were surrounded with glass so they could see in all directions. "Normally I wouldn't need any help. But the last fight I had with the empire was a doozy. Hit my head pretty good. I'm just gunna need you two looking out for things like rocks and stuff during the storm." She told them. The rain began to pick up, as did the waves.

"Sounds good enough for both of us. Isaac, you take the left side, I'll take the right." Isaac nodded, as the two siblings took their respective locations: Isaac looking upon the left side of the ship and whatever would come from that way, and Arianna studying the right side, and whatever would approach from there. The winds weren't helping, but instead stalling their progress. "Ms. Scarlett, how many trips have you made to the Celtic Isles?" Isaac spoke up, still looking upon the endless ocean with some form of awe.

  • "Oh! Dozens!" Scarlett replied. "Probably one of my most common trips, actually. Haven't been able to make the trip over the last month. Too many unknowns. But hell, the bossman told me to get you tikes there and that's what im gunna do!" The rain picked up a lot now, and the windows poured with water.

"This storm is seriously getting strong," Isaac muttered to himself, still studying the endless ocean as Arianna remained silent. The storm was getting on his nerves, but he continued his role.

  • Then, Isaac spotted something on his side. It was an anomaly to say the least. It seemed that fog started to produce itself a mile away. It churned in the centre of the sky before if began to expand more and more...

"Hey, hey." Isaac snapped his fingers suddenly, hoping to draw Scarlett's attention and not Arianna's. The increasing fog had begun to disturb him..

  • "What is it hot shot?" Scarlett asked as she turned her head. "Oh...that's not good." She said grimly. Isaac thought he saw something in the fog now however. A large figure of some sort. Was it...a ship?

"What is it? And should we get to manning cannons or attempting an escape?" Isaac went worried, while Arianna merely stared upon it before looking back at her own side. She wouldn't allow something else to attack while this first anomaly had revealed itself.

  • "Does this thing LOOK like it has Cannons?!" Scarlett asked. Isaac soon realized the boat had no guns on it. The massive shadow then revealed itself... To be a massive ship, made of bones. It had torn sails that blew through the wind which allowed it to sail. It's hull was made of massive ribs upon first sight and a large Skelton, which seemed to be moving, was starboard. As the group looked, they saw hundreds of figures on the ship from their current position.

"It's literally made of bones...I could try putting a hole in it..." Arianna murmured, studying the ship carefully. It had to have been bounded together by magic, otherwise she could literally blow a hole in it. "Whatever the case is, we need to find a way to combat it...we could outrun it, I don't know.." Isaac muttered in a panicked manner, staring upon the beings on the ship in a worried manner.

  • "That's the plan! Hang on kids!" Scarlett yelled as she drove the ship at an increased speed. The boat went over the massive waves that began to form, but the ghost ship was on their flank, and was on an interception course for their tiny rig. Scarlett continued her effort, and turned sharply and caught a variety of factors on the sea perfectly, but it didn't matter. The ship that looked like death itself was upon them. And it's army began hopping aboard. All forms of undead hopped onto the ship. But most were simply the zombies Ari had seen last time she was on the isle. They rushed up the deck and made their way towards the stairs...

"Here we go." Arianna muttered, as the combat began. The two had set up something of a continuous melee spree: a literal circle of death, to say the very least. Arianna's Semblance had suddenly kicked in, as she drew her nodachi and became a literal center of blood and gore, slicing through countless zombies with merely a single swipe or so. The Semblance would increase her strength and speed, and would only continue to grow. Isaac had resorted to gunning down the zombies with his semi-automatic weapon, while keeping his finger upon a specific lever. He was waiting on the zombies to get closer to use it, while he stayed some distance close to Ari - not close enough to where he'd be decapitated, but close to where he was somewhat safe.

  • This tactic worked incredibly well, as the staircase they held was thin and it filed in the zombies one by one into the bloody blender that the two siblings had created. "Keep it up you two!" Scarlett yelled at them as she steered her ship out of the way of the death ship. However the massive boat continued to lock in on the boat, and then the two siblings saw something new. Incredibly large built zombies hopped onto the boat. They looked...Celtic. Their teeth were long, like the others, but there was one difference that these zombies had that out terror into the there's hearts. They had guns.

"They have guns!" Arianna yelled to Scarlett, while purposely taking the zombies' attention while she allowed her nodachi to become a sniper, already going in for a few headshots: she had an Aura that could take the rounds to a limit, Isaac and Scarlett weren't capable of doing so. Isaac joined the shooting, both of them taking cover behind whatever they could.

  • The dead soldiers continued to jump onto the ship, unloading their weapons in random and inaccurate bursts at the three. Four bullets shot across the window of the steering room, and Scarlett cursed as blood splattered from her shoulder. "AGH!" She let out as she stumbled back on to the steering wheel. The zombies rushed Ari and Isaac still but the soldiers flipped over benches and took cover behind them. Not a bad idea....

Arianna had...a rather suicidal idea. She leaped up as her sniper shape-shifted back into its nodachi form, the blade shining with blood as her Aura flared up around her frame. Her increased speed kicked in, as she strafed left-to-right, sweeping through the Celtics by attacking their necks and legs, so she didn't hit armor. Isaac went pale, although he continued to shoot, before one round skinned his left arm and forced him to take cover.

  • More celtics jumped onto the ship. These dead soldiers rushed at Ari with their guns blazing. Then...the massive ship turned away after the last drop. It went the opposite way and started putting distance between itself and its victims. "ITS RETREATING!" Scarlett yelled. "TAKE CARE OF THE REST! QUICKLY!" She winced at the end.

Arianna's Semblance flared up as she roared, bullets bouncing off yet distracting her slightly. She cleaved through the rest, Isaac gunning down those that were farthest from her.
