Ghost's blaster fired off, and the laser tore through the chest of a machine, which collapsed downwards.
Scorch followed up by firing his assault rifle into a small crowd

A small trace of a smile could be seen on the androids face as the machines were torn to shreds. Perhaps she was a bit sadistic towards machine lifeforms. After they were eliminated she proceeded while talking to someone via her POD drone.
Orny's character
As they continued on it was beginning to become noticeable that the machines were doing more than just blindly attacking. They were harvesting buildings and houses for parts and material. Even stranger, a group of machines seemed to be lining up at a church as if they planned on going.
-
"What are they doing here, exactly?" Ghost asked, firing his blaster through the leg of one of the machines. Followed by a quick shot through the head
-
"Mimicking humans perhaps? The church does line up the the courdinence of the two energy spikes. Let's just kill them and see what's inside." Bayonet raised her sword and cut one of them down, the other machines didn't so much as twitch, she killed another, no reaction. The closer they got the better they could see someone standing just far enough inside the church to only see his Torn black pants and sandals. The shimmer of his eyes staring looked out at the trio that were attacking the machine lifeforms.
-
Ghost and Scorch stopped attacking the machines, only taking action against those that attempted to hurt the two. They looked around the machines, and in some cases even defended the ones not doing anything
-
Confused, 13B began knocking on one of them seeing if she could get any reaction from the ones in line but still they continued to stop and stare. "poor able" One of them began repeating. Eventually the whole line was repeating the phrase "poor able" in a chant like form. "Poor... Able? Your a machine. You wouldn't even register emotions. Just stop" Despite that the machines kept repeating the phrase. After a few seconds they stopped. "run" They all began repeating themselves and the man from within the church came into the light. They fleed as they saw the individual approach. "humans, organics, why must they lay claim and dominion over all? Can you not give these machines what they deserve? "
-
Scorch and Ghost both glanced at the man, adjusting their weapons. "What's their -blam!-ing purpose?" Scorch asked, eyeing the man as his finger slid onto the trigger, ready to shoot
-
"we have no purpose anymore except to fend for ourselves, to carve our own mark in the world. There are so many of us with no cause and nowhere to go. But I found a reason. I believe humans call it manifest destiny"
-
"A what now?" Ghost inquired, staring at the figure.
-
"It should be fair that machines can claim a place to call home. A continent for the synthetic and I plan on making that dream a reality for my kind." 13B was getting tired of the talking and charged her pods for laser fire at the being. "Enough crap, manifest destiny means you think it's your right to stake a claim on the entire continent and you don't seem interested in making deals" Both pods trained their sights on the man.
-
"Well we can always give you some land. There's at least a dozen planets In this solar system alone." Ghost said, trying to find a resolution
-
"but how would one learn of war without opposition?" 13B got tired of waiting, she had her orders and started to make sense of what the humanoid wanted. "You just want to start a war?" She had both of her pods fire yet something engulfed the person. The beams couldn't seem to get near him.
-
Noble and Ghost remained calm, not making any sudden moves
-
He looked at them confused. "so... are you planning to just stand there all day...?"
-
"We're not gonna fight you if this can be solved peacefully." Ghost said, looking at the figure
-
"Hmmm, I'll give you some time to come up with a proposal. It might be a interesting lesson" In the flick of a finger the man vanished. Bayonet was clearly not happy with that but kept herself in check. "You just let a Genesis machine interested in studying human military tactics and religious crusades walk. God forbid it tries to study world wars."
-
"It's obvious that this machine is more powerful than the three of us. We need to regroup, get Soldiers on our side and increase our numbers if we're going to fight him, or rather, it." Ghost said, thinking tactically and sounding like a leader
-
"Fair enough. Well also have to do something about his connection to machine network. While he's connected to it he could just keep coming back as he pleases."
-
"Why don't we just blow his brains out his head?" Scorch asked, sounding a bit on the mad side of the spectrum "We need to understand him before anything." Ghost quickly responded, glancing at the Hunter, Than to 13B
-
13B was trying to think of the best way of describe it to it would make sense. "Think of it... like Bluetooth or WiFi. The object your looking at can store itself in the air and reload itself at will. Shooting it in the head would just mean it would just have itself re-uploaded again"
-
"See? We need an understanding of it, Scorch." Ghost said, glancing at the Hunter
-
"For now let's hope he stays away for some time. Reports say there's a second energy spike in that church. Let's just hope it's a fluke" 13 started towards the door again, unsure what to expect to find.
-
Scorch pushed his shoulder into the door and entered the church
-
Inside was a second one nailed to the wall being kept just alive enough not to die and regenerate. It looked to be a female version of the machine form earlier only its skin was snow white. It was slumped over unconscious. "First there was Adam and eve... now Cain and Able... whatever happened she's out cold which may be a lucky break. I'll bring her in for questioning once she regains consciousness. If we're lucky she'll be more cooperative than her counterpart"
-
"Are you sure about that? You saw how powerful her counterpart was. She might be a trap..." Ghost commented, adjusting the blaster in his hands
-
"It's the only lead we have unfortunately." 13B looks at one of the nails in the woman's forearm and begins prying it out. She wasn't paying much attention but Able's eyelids began twitching, reacting to the pain of having nails pulled out of her body.
