For kids that think that not preordering the game is going to somehow change the quality at release; you do understand that these games were already made years ago and that your purchase does not change them don't you.

Put simply if we all stop pre-ordering games today those games would not go to launch and we would never get to play them at all.
So let me get this straight, preordering doesn't affect a game being made, but it also does? You need to start making sense here.

Pre-orders are more of metric used to gauge interest and what not, which I suppose could result in less support for a game idea. Not the only metric, of course. Didn't the last COD have bad pre-orders?
-
But the game still released, despite what op says.

Yeah, but what has Activision done? Look at where the franchise was going, changed the creative direction and went back to something that they feel their fan would want. AAA titles don't get scuttled they just get reinvented.
-
I believe so. Also heard that sales were down 50% compared to Black Ops 3
-
Yeah and most of those sales were to get the remastered COD 4.
-
Squaresoft used to make six different Final Fantasy title simultaneously and only choose one of them
-
Games are made but sometimes not released

I'm aware of that, but I have yet to see that with a major triple A release just because it didn't get good preorders. I have no idea where you are getting that evidence.
