Get a job... Happy Easter, kids.

You Children without any liquid income are not the target demographic. The sooner you accept this the happier you will be. For "kids" that think that not preordering the game is going to somehow change the quality at release; you do understand that these games were already made years ago and that your purchase does not change them don't you? ●Good games like we had on NES, Sega, PS1 etc. were only complete games without DLC because the Internet had not yet become a viable media for the average consumer. ●It's not hidden. The whole point of DLC is to substitute for lack of subscription fees. Xbox and Playstation already charge you for using your own internet. Bungie needs income to maintain servers and make a profit. ●If it costs 20 million to make a game that means you need to net 60 million to cover the first game to fund it's servers and the next game to stay in business. ○Now you have a widely availibe online environment thanks in most part to the target demographic of working ages 25 to 40 with liquid income that allows Development to expand games from 25 gigabytes to well over 60 gigabytes. ○We in turn purchase these games and Internet subscriptions for you our children. We buy your PS Network, Xbox Live, and we buy products placed in ads on your home screen that allow you the privilege to call yourself a "Gamer." You act as though there should be some kind of limitation on profit for Bungie, etc. as if there would be any games at all without any profit. ☆ ○Trees will stop being planted when you stop using paper. ○Ask yourself this, "How can I be opposed to preordering while at the same time I buy books, newspapers, or go to the movies?" ●When you don't preorder because you think the game is being cut up like a Pizza you are actually asking for a game that did not have planned expansion and just because you knew some additional content had already been developed you assume that it was cut from the original.
Start at paragraph 3 and stop here.
You whine and moan about pay to win, but you gladly play all the content it funds.
You can get a good look at a T- bone by sticking your head up a bulls a**, but I'd rather take the butchers word for it.
I gladly threw my money at my screen because I am an adult. I pay taxes for my streets. I pay taxes to feed the homeless people who live in my streets. I pay people to pump the crap from my toilets under my house. I pay for the guy who collects my garbage. But heaven forbid the company that adds a bit of enjoyment to my life make any profit on my preorder! Put simply if we all stop pre-ordering games today those games would not go to launch and we would never get to play them at all. GET A JOB! 1500+ Edit Day 3: Are you one of those kids with your hair sticking out from under the front of your crooked "baseball" cap and tight skinny jeans somehow still bunched up in the back? You look like you pooped your pants after a good window licking session. Toejam & Earl edit: people are complaining because I'm editing this post I see this as a live thread. Editing my thread is how I am able to respond to everyone at the same time and borrow other people's good insights in which case I always give them credit inside their original post.

But i have a job, and i love supporting games with micro-transactions, but at the same time, play to win is not not a necessary way to do it. Cosmetics are the best way to implement them, such as the way destiny does it. And preordering helps develop the dlc, so if i know I'm going to get the game, i almost always preorder special editions to help support it further.

        • I'm waiting for gameplay and specifics to pre-order. Mainly because I just want to know what to expect. Right now you'd be pre-ordering a promise, and little more. Later, that pre-order will become a promise with proof to back it up, which I find a slightly better investment. But, to each his own. Have a nice day ^-^

          • OP I sadly disagree, this is my money and bungie will need to prove themselves worthy if they deserve it. I can't simply throw money at the screen, I need a criteria that they are going to meet and satisfies me. That's when they get a sale.

          • When people say don't per-order is so developers don't get lazy before the game is releases/alpha access and run off with the money H1Z1 and DayZ are clear examples of this. How long have they been on Alpha? For years now? And the game quality deters with every update. Or if they do update their games, it takes forever and at times doesn't even work. Planet side 2 on console is another example. No Man's Sky Battlefield 4 Halo MCC Mass Effect Andromeda or however you spell it. Literally every assassins creed since AC Black Flag. It's sad

            • This is hilarious. Sounds like a personal issue with your sons or nephews. In reality the actual product is perpetually more and more broken because Bungie is hyper focused on the wrong bottom line rather than their actual duty of maintaining what once was a promising gaming experience. Which in turn would bring them far more valid riches. Now? This shit is unplayable unless you're a mindless zombie or pacifying yourself with a thumb in your ass. Bungie has stolen your money and said deal with it we're Buuungie, triple A biiiiiutch. Single A as of now and I was a huge fan and still want to be . Your perspective is entirely backward. In reality, Bungie should be issuing refunds to all paying customers. Over a single lie. A single lie makes that true. Just like the food industry or anything else in reality. You serve me rotting zebra of unknown origin when I ordered cow flank? I get money back plus apology. You serve me water? I order a straight up scotch and you bring me watered down BS like some thief? You give me money back and are ashamed and can learn how to be honest or get roasted live at all times. Your money pays for nothing but what you're about to be charged for next. It's like loaning them money to only be used toward pursuits focused on taking even more money from you. Completely perverse and disgusting way of doing business. Bungie could fire half their employees and still become professional but they have an ego that requires continual feeding. They aren't even a real company. They are completely disjointed and use their product to make money the same way crack dealers in 1992 used baking soda to increase profits. Pure trickery. Because--- crackheads. Their real valued custies. But they pretend it's some 2017 hi-tech research business practice that makes sense because it brings in far more profit. Shit's ancient it's called deceit and thievery. Bungie -blam!- us on D1 to create D2. Period. Eyes entirely on their gleaming battleship and false pride. Like a young girl mindlessly standing in front of a mirror focused on her careful mask rather than true beauty. Make-believing rather than truly being. A producer of any product can create a sound product and then sell it for a fair price with a straight face. Not create a half-baked product with neon lights and lies and then throw it in the freezer to die while focused on the next fling. You're being -blam!- and are just used to it in this inverted society. Bungie treats you like a mindless consumer and you the majority affirm that reality and allow this heavily deluded relationship to thrive. 140 likes. Of course. Music to their wax-filled ears. Wake up and demand perfection for full price. Always. I could go work for Bungie today and have the entire game running smoothly within a week. Test me bungie I live in Portland and will show up for work next Monday and show you how to operate your lazy ass studio front to back top to bottom and I don't know anything about video game development. I simply understand how to carry a task from left to right with no errors. Pure uncut raw product once it hits the shelf. Never watered down. Never adulterated. Real and for the people. Bungie should not be payed for stale raw dough. Ever. Cook my pizza and serve it with pride. Not trash and hide. Nobody should pay for unfinished work unless that is what is being purchased. We purchased a full-price game and should expect it in return. Demand what you pay for. Never explain -blam!-ed up business practice as though it's the way things really ought to be. Your perspective is contagious and how we ended up here. They believe it. Correct yourself and stop riding what's halfway glowing. I'm glowing and so are many but bungie is simply leeching. Learn it or be their bitch which is the actual implied expectation at all times. Thanks to your openly displayed eager willingness.

Ah bless. The OP is upset that people like me, on a really good wage, don't want to pre-order a game so he trots out all sorts of reasons for it when in reality its none of his business. The car crash that Destiny was at launch would be a valid reason for not pre-ordering on its own but the fact nothing about Destiny 2 has been released, apart from a story element, is the main one for me. You pay for the things you mentioned because you KNOW what you are getting when you pay someone for a service like a meal in a restaurant. There is a menu, you make a choice and you pay for it AFTER you have had it. What you are doing is handing over money and saying "Just give a game, any game." and then making out people who don't want to are the problem !! .. Head. Wobble. Give. .. then look in the mirror for why games like Destiny and others are sold far from completed .. *whispers* .. its because they already have your money genius. If you want to pay upfront for Destiny 2 then go right ahead, its your money. But coming out with drivel like saying that if we don't pre-order we wont have games as they wont go to launch just shows the naivety of the zombie like pre-order enthusiasts like you that companies like Bungie exploit. Based on your logic you are happy to sit down in a restaurant, hand over a handful of cash and get a meal, any meal. I really hope Bungie never come to a sudden halt as fanboys like you are going to go shoulder deep in their lower colon. The competition for space would be funny though.

I don't understand the kid part...there are kids willing to get out and work. Hell my son made 130 dollars last weekend mowing lawns. I just hooked him up with a little speech and he just went out there and did it. TBH I just like telling anyone and everyone about it because I'm pretty proud of him. He's a big boy now (13) making his own money.

                  • Did you play video games as a kid? When did you start? What consoles, and how many games per console did you have? I've been playing on all the best consoles since Atari 2600-ps3, (excluding Xbox). And I still have a massive game library, games flooding from Tupperware containers. All want to say is those games are the best because of no dlc, and no internet connection required. And the reason I say this is because those games you had to be great to get what you wanted from a game. You couldn't depend on ingame stores to help you with ingame money, weapons and gear. You had to be focused and learn from mistakes. Today games like destiny don't teach kids that. And destiny 2 gonna be worse. This is part of the reason I never got a ps4..

                    • I work my ass off for My money. If I want to spend 100 dollars on a game and it's expansions blindly I will. When u was a kid I had to mow yards and get a paper route to get the stuff I had and it taught me to work hard and play hard.

                      • Nobody's saying Bungie shouldn't make a profit, even a huge profit, just that they should be selling a complete product at launch, not chopping it into a base game and 2 dlc's for 90 total. It is possible to create a complete game and then sell a standalone dlc after the fact... just look at oblivion/skyrim or the witcher 3. They all managed to do this, why not Bungie? When their base game is so obviously lacking, it makes the consumer feel like they got cheated and lied to, and if Bungie was smart they would be very careful about doing that again, considering how many people abandoned Destiny 1 or won't buy the sequel if it has the same problems.
