Get a job... Happy Easter, kids.

You Children without any liquid income are not the target demographic. The sooner you accept this the happier you will be. For "kids" that think that not preordering the game is going to somehow change the quality at release; you do understand that these games were already made years ago and that your purchase does not change them don't you? ●Good games like we had on NES, Sega, PS1 etc. were only complete games without DLC because the Internet had not yet become a viable media for the average consumer. ●It's not hidden. The whole point of DLC is to substitute for lack of subscription fees. Xbox and Playstation already charge you for using your own internet. Bungie needs income to maintain servers and make a profit. ●If it costs 20 million to make a game that means you need to net 60 million to cover the first game to fund it's servers and the next game to stay in business. ○Now you have a widely availibe online environment thanks in most part to the target demographic of working ages 25 to 40 with liquid income that allows Development to expand games from 25 gigabytes to well over 60 gigabytes. ○We in turn purchase these games and Internet subscriptions for you our children. We buy your PS Network, Xbox Live, and we buy products placed in ads on your home screen that allow you the privilege to call yourself a "Gamer." You act as though there should be some kind of limitation on profit for Bungie, etc. as if there would be any games at all without any profit. ☆ ○Trees will stop being planted when you stop using paper. ○Ask yourself this, "How can I be opposed to preordering while at the same time I buy books, newspapers, or go to the movies?" ●When you don't preorder because you think the game is being cut up like a Pizza you are actually asking for a game that did not have planned expansion and just because you knew some additional content had already been developed you assume that it was cut from the original.
Start at paragraph 3 and stop here.
You whine and moan about pay to win, but you gladly play all the content it funds.
You can get a good look at a T- bone by sticking your head up a bulls a**, but I'd rather take the butchers word for it.
I gladly threw my money at my screen because I am an adult. I pay taxes for my streets. I pay taxes to feed the homeless people who live in my streets. I pay people to pump the crap from my toilets under my house. I pay for the guy who collects my garbage. But heaven forbid the company that adds a bit of enjoyment to my life make any profit on my preorder! Put simply if we all stop pre-ordering games today those games would not go to launch and we would never get to play them at all. GET A JOB! 1500+ Edit Day 3: Are you one of those kids with your hair sticking out from under the front of your crooked "baseball" cap and tight skinny jeans somehow still bunched up in the back? You look like you pooped your pants after a good window licking session. Toejam & Earl edit: people are complaining because I'm editing this post I see this as a live thread. Editing my thread is how I am able to respond to everyone at the same time and borrow other people's good insights in which case I always give them credit inside their original post.

      • The all important matter of opinion for you and you alone is: "did you get your money's worth from this game?" I've put in just under 50 days, didn't really enjoy it much past Y1, but it was fun while it lasted. So, I'm willing to give destiny 2 a shot, because despite the horrible weapon balancing, bug fixes that can take 6 months to a year to be implemented, and poor progression, there were still some really solid gameplay elements in Destiny. If it's not that great of a game? Well, there's always eBay to try and get my money back on the collectibles.

        • Got a job, a wife, two mortgages and a cat. Still not preordering until I've seen some game play. Back in the day there was a real practical reason to preorder... to guarantee your physical copy on launch day. These days I don't see the point for most releases as I personally buy all my games digitally. In the case of D2 I'll preorder for the beta access but for most games I just buy my digital copy on the release day.

          • The median target demographic for video games is 26, male, makes about 50k a year, and this median demographic spends on average $300.00 a month on video games and is a very large demographic (as in there are a large number of individuals who exhibit this spending habit). That's 5 games a month, or 2 games a month and a bunch of DLC, maybe some peripherals, charging docks, controllers, etc. Outside of this median, the average dollar amount spent on video games drops. Other demographics may have more individuals but as a whole, spend less money on video games. So for example, if there are 25 million people spending 300 a month in group A, and 50 million people spending 500 a year in group B, group A will be the group that a company advertises to, markets for, and makes game changes for. That is the group that a company will focus needs, buffs, play tweaks, etc. in order to make happy with the game. So when wondering why a game is not being changed in order to make it more enjoyable for you, check which demographic you are in, versus the target demographic of the activity you are involved in.

              • I honestly don't have a problem with people pre-ordering games. While I did get burned with Star Wars Battlefront (PS4), I did hit a home run with Uncharted 4.

                • Thank you, needed to be said. This game has brought me much enjoyment. I know I have at least 250 into this game ( maybe a little bit more). I have at least 1600 hours just on my main. To pay 100 bucks now for d2 I feel like I already got my 💰 worth. I believe poor are the ones complaining. I will probably even spend 100 bucks tonight on me and wife going out to eat tonight, with a drink or two. So 100 bucks on something I will enjoy for a long time is a bargain in my book.

                  • My problem isn't with this whole deal isn't that they charge for their game and DLCs, it's that they lie about what will be in the game in order to attract preorders, and then don't deliver what you payed for. And at this point in D2s advertising campaign, people don't even know what the game even is but they are tossing money. You wouldn't buy a car or a house solely based on an advertisement. Ive been one of the people calling for people to not preorder, not in order to spite bungie but just to help the people out there who don't understand how use their money and how companies are so good at using YOU. This is far deeper a problem than stupid video game companies lying, it's simply good practice to evaluate a product before you sign on the dotted line.

                    • The whole argument about maintains servers is almost shot, seeing as how they could cut costs and at least use microsofts offer for free dedicated servers. If only Sony did the same, but people who don't pre order are mostly just waiting for the livestream. Is it worth buying? Did they make big changes since they refused to take my old gear in? I want to see, I got 100$ for bungie right now, if they impress me.

They adopted the carnival model and left town when the game dropped. I haven't seen any big company do so and it's hard to say whether preorders actually affect the outcome of the game. Although, from a psychological standpoint, if you only get paid for a finished product, you're less likely to cut corners but on the antithesis, partial income during the build time may motivate you even more to produce quality. All in all, the cup is either half empty or half full depending on if you have a negative a positive view point and that determines your sentimental value. If you like what you see, preorder. If not, just call it a day and await the next.

I myself will be preordering bc I loved destiny 1, I didn't care for nerfs or buffs bc I adapted unlike others who just whined bc they didn't want to adapt. Destiny is my favorite game and I'm looking for destiny 2 to do the same
