Impossible to give an informed opinion either way at this point: we know almost nothing about the game. Bungie's not marketing D2 yet to any serious degree; even their Facebook posts are just screenshots of the trailer. They're not telling us anything about the game but they sure are begging for preorders. That doesn't sit well with me. At best I'll figure on another game of the same quality. It likely wont be a failure though, unless they hype it up to be anything greater than D1. Given how botched D1 was (from what it could and Should have been) and how it took them the better part of 3 years to clean up the mess, I have little faith D2 will be any kind of revolution. Will I buy D2? probably, though I may wait till year 2 the way I did with D1. Give them a chance to fix the launch bugs at least.

Well we know that a big part of the destiny one 'failure' was part of the original development team leaving for whatever reasons which caused a lot of legal issues and what they were allowed to still use and blah blah blah all that hoobajoob. I'd like to think that they've had plenty of time to gather a committed team and do proper research to give us the game they originally promised, which if it is what they promised, would truly be groundbreaking and revolutionary. So yes. I'm pretty optimistic at the moment. I'll have a better feeling, which I believe most of us will, when the live stream reveal comes.

Frankly I don't know. It could go any way at this point. Hoping it'll be better than the last 3 years ,but i doubt it.

It can't be any worse than d1 and I had a lot of fun for the past few years in d2 . More so than any game in a long time . In fact I can think of the last game I enjoyed this much it was halo 1 and sorry but halo 2 improved on every bit of the first game . So yeah I think d2 will be better.

However fans will not like it but still buys all the dlcs and continue to pour money into it. It will be a financial success but the game play and story will remain mediocre at best. With that said, i will still play the crap out if just like destiny 1.

As long as it's not worse than D1 it will be worth it for the pc experience

On pre orders alone it will be a massive success. Imo bungie have had 3years of testing so I'm hopefull we should have a very balanced pvp and glitch free pve environment and the gameplay has always been unique and awesome so I'm not worried about that

It will literally be more of the same with slightly improved graphics and very slight tweaks to mechanisms (you get quests on Mars instead of the tower, etc). Based on the messy history story, it was rumored that the Cabal raid and expansion was supposed to be part of Destiny 1 and was pushed out till Destiny 2. Based on the trailer, that looks to be true, so it will be more of the same.
