They have to get that hype train started. Without it we'd be pissed upon release and realizing we didn't get what we thought.
They gotta create that sense of need right away. Then slowly leading up to realease they release more info to have you accept that its not going to be everything you initially thought. You still have that need in hopes its being everything you thought. You then buy it and if you're unhappy ... you have nutswingers saying they told you what you were purchasing.
Its all -blam!-ing mind games with bungie. Series will forever be mediocre at best. They spend more money on psychological testing and marketing than they do on the actual game.
Pavlovs dog people ! Don't be conditioned into thinking you need this great massive game
cuz itll be the same shit we are bitching about now.
It'll only be the "same shit we bitch about now" if cancerous trolls show up on the forums and nitpick because they have no lives.
-
Nit pick ?! Lolol You mean glaring major problems?
-
You have more than a month in game. Those huge, glaring problems haven't seemed to impact you too much.
-
Oh ... so you want someone with a week of play time judging the game? Someone with plenty of time played and experienced everything can't say there are glaring problems with game? I see it what it is... good and bad. Bungie continually makes the same mistakes or dusregards what people want. So i call them for it.
-
All I'm saying is that you obviously enjoy something about this game and that the good obviously outweighs the bad. Love the game for what it is, don't hate on it for what it isn't.
-
Everything i stated in my original post is near the truth though. They get the hype going and disappoint ever release. They always give the impression of massive amounts of content. Or they time gate shit to give artificial depth. My statements still stand... until its changed ill be saying same stuff. Charge me monthly fees for content every month then, but right now content is/has been a joke.
-
Look at your argument: there is nothing to do, but I spent a month of my life doing that nothing. Can you see why someone might not take your opinion as fair and unbiased? Maybe even think that YOU might be as much a problem as anything in game? Personally, I'm tired of everyone being so hypercritical. Nothing is perfect and it is unreasonable to expect otherwise. In any event, I'm done. Not here to get in a flame war with anyone. Good day.

I'm coming from games like WoW, Rift, Guild Wars, ESO etc... These games do not cater to casual player base and don't hand out shit for free. Create in depth content and let the 2 hr a week warriors cry. Personally i get sick of content lacking bevause it'll be too hard for those people to keep up. Every release could be completed in a night. The way they fix that is time gate encounters or gear. Sure it works in mmos.... but the current encounters in those games keep people busy for weeks. Shit is not hard in Destiny and should be. Everyone would welcome it once they played it.

I know they do it to get hype started. I just find it funny. Trailer for a trailer.
-
I swear this is what bungie and even Activision do now. They make trailers for trailers and dlcs like if it's a whole new game. Like the fact Activision is making the map pack for cod 4 remaster more expensive than it was the first time around is ridiculous. Not even getting into the whole keeping cod4remaster hostage in the new spacemanrobotcod. Just to artificially boost sales of it because it wouldn't sell other wise of they kept em separate.

Well this one is pretty much a teaser
