It's a teaser for the trailer, it is meant to hype you up for the trailer, it doesn't set tone.
But yes destiny 2 will definite have a more humorous tone, the dead pan seriousness didn't work out for them last time

Dead pan seriousness is not what was in the OG trailers. It was wonder and hope. A little humor goes a long way and is essentially required. Every good story will have comedic breaks. Its just that Cayde is starting to seem one sided, and they're sacrificing believability and authenticity of the characters and world of destiny for cheeky banter and pandering [i][u]teasers.[/u][/i]

i did not want to reply, i am trying to fight it . you just cannot help yourself and suck the joy out of fun teezer that gives clear signs that destiny will be offering a more rounded experience .

These guys are so upset by your comment... But it was so accurate. I have mad love for Destiny 1, but would be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed in it's initial release.

All I want is for Bungie to truly care about their own game. Destiny could be even more legendary than their previous work, Halo. All they need is to put some passion into it.

I completely agree. D1 had so much potential, and it was wasted. Hopefully they have learned from their mistakes, and D2 will knock it out of the park. I'm going in with low expectations though.
