actually, most of their design team quit a year before the deadline for Destiny. They had to scratch most of what they had and build from the ground up. Which is why Destiny had no story and seemed empty and not completed.

    It wasn't the design team, it was the writer and that's because the exec's didn't like the story. That's why the game had no real story but the problem with the engine is totally separate. Hopefully they did fire the game engine team though too because I really think that effected the longevity of this game. Plus, it forced bungie to have to create a new engine for destiny 2.
