People look back on year 1 with a fondness i could only describe as Stockholm syndrome. Y1 was praised not because the game was good, it had tons of major problems, but because it was still new. Y1, especially vanilla was an abomination of a game. Iv never played a triple A title that's been plagued with so many problems consistently throughout its history.

  • Stockholm syndrome is a great way to describe this thread.

I wouldn't call Y1 an abomination, but we all loved it because it felt fresh and new (because it was). Playing with friends is what made Y1 special. And the old leveling system was garbage. #Forever29 anyone?
