The Mechanical Machinist Outside the Dojo walls, a figure staggered through the village, wearing a shredded cloak. Bladed metal feathers sliced through the cloak more at every step. The figure tried speaking to several people, who all backed away in fear. Eventually reaching the gates, anyone nearby could hear a clock-like ticking emenating from the cloaked form, slowing down by the second. After less then a minute of scratching at the door, hoarsely calling for help, it slouched to the ground. The cloak flew off, revealing an avian machine, gears protruding from the shoulders, a large winding key in it's hand. The ticking slowed to a stop. • The machine showed no sign of life, but it's metal feathering brushed softly in the wind. It had slight rust marks on the ends of the feathers, beak, and talons.

 • While the machine was definitely lifeless, it was also clear that it was clockwork in nature, and a large winding port was on it's back. An good spot of omni-gel could harden into the correct shape, or the N7 could use the key conveniently held by the being.

 • After the winding process was complete, the key ejected from its port. The ticking returned, and the gears on the shoulders began to spin rapidly. A slight series of plinking came from the head, as though a music box was playing. The song subsided, and the machine climbed to its feet, regarding the soldier. "Gre-eet, N-7, Hu-human. Thank-ank you fo-r wi-ind-inding me. I-I am etern-eter-eternally in-in-in yo-ur debt." The machine stuttered out, nodding.

 • A loud "poomf-a-foomf!" and thudding could be heard as two large, cloaked, and furry individuals romped over to him. Kari, the werefox, tossed his hood down, examining the machine. "This is problematic." he said, having seen the strange machine fall down from afar. "How're we supposed to help?" the other cloaked creature asked. "It's a machine..we aren't mechanics!" the second one said. "Neil, calm down, this place is chock full of guys who know what they're doing. Lets just get him inside. Carefully. And watch yourself too, those feathers look sharp." Kari said to Neil. They opened the conveniently unlocked gate and carried the machine through stretcher style, its wings occasionally scraping aginst the stone ground.

 • The machine clearly held a clockwork winding key in it's hand, and a hole in its back matched the key.

 • Neil, being the simple genius he was, gently took the key. "Hey, Kari, set him down." he said. Kari did so and Neil wound up the machine with the key, stepping back afterward.

 • (Apologies, but apparently Kari is still dead so this has to be both noncanon and discontinued. If it were my way, Kari would still be alive. Unfortunately he's not so...)
