[b]The Jeep went forward for a bit more, until it swerved and lost control, crashing into a tree.
The driver slammed his forehead into the wheel, killing him almost instantly while Vince, Kross, and Altar were thrown off, uninjured for the most part [/b]

The group found themselves surrounded by phantom knights. One of the knights was taller than the others and it spoke. "Surrender and your deaths will be swift."

[i]"Heh."[/i] [b]Kross body seemed ridden with strange red lines, and in an instant Kross slashed the lead Knight across the wrists, following up by taking down another four His speed was incredible, moving in the blink of an eye [/b]

Four knights fell but the lead knight recovered quickly, unleashing a flurry of blows upon Altar who had summoned a magical sword and shield. More knights moved to engage Vince and Kross.

[b]Kross blasted lighting through the Knights, leaving them to Vince [/b]

Vince quickly fixed a blade to his cane and moved faster than sound as he cut the knights to pieces. "I've not moved that fast in a while, but we'll need it." Altar clapped her hands together as the lead knight's armor fell, dead. "You two ready?"

"[i]Always prepared, yes. "[/i]

"Let's go then." They began the trek to the city.

[b]Kross followed behind them, keeping an eye on their surroundings [/b]

The rest of the journey was quiet, and they reached the edge of the city unscathed. "Follow me, we'll need to take the tunnels." Vince leads them into an alley.

[b]Kross followed Vince, placing a hand on the hilt of his sword [/b]

He walks up to a building and presses his hand to a brick. It moves into the wall and a large hole opens in the ground, revealing a staircase. "Doesn't look like they've found this entrance."

[i]"How did you know about this Vince?" [/i] [b]Kross went down the stairs, looking around [/b]

"I used these for a variety of reasons while I lived here, now's not the time for that." They enter the tunnels. "If I know Thaddeus, he'll be in the hub."

[i]"The hub? Would that be the center most Plaza? '[/i]

"More or less, it's the center most building in the city. He can see everything from the top floor. We should be quick." They continue down the tunnel.

[i]"You are leading Vince. Are you sure this the quickest route?"[/i]

"The quickest without fighting through an army of phantom knights."

[i]"That's a fair point my friend. A very fair one indeed." [/i]

They reach an intersection and turn right. "We should only be another 5 minutes."

[b]Kross had released the hilt, simply following behind now [/b]

The rest of the journey passed and they soon found themselves surfacing bear a massive tower. "There's the hub."

"Looks like we're clear for now, there's a backdoor into the hub. Follow me." Vince heads up the alley.

They reach the base of the building, they can hear phantom knights marching in the streets. Vince depresses part of the wall and a secret door opens. "Alright, this will take us to the fifth floor, but once there we'll have to fight our way up. You ready?"
