Even without shotgun criticals, Bladedancers are still taken down quickly when a team concentrates fire on them. A good meatshot to the gut plus a melee attack will bring them close to death or kill them outright if they're already hurt beforehand. They are also extremely vulnerable to Nova Bomb/Fist of Havoc.
Besides, if multiple teammates are set up to get eaten by an Arc Blade, a good part of the blame is on them for poor positioning.
I have used my brain, and I still don't understand what good the Hungering Blade nerf does for the game.
