Cravis had been having a good day. He had drank a coffee, prevented the murder of some political guy on some godforsaken planet by hacking this guy's ship authorisation codes, and had ow of those 'eternal debt' things that never get repaid because capitalism. And then the invasion started. It is a little known fact about Daniel James Cravis that one thing that seriously pisses him off is people trying to invade the dojo, be it lennies, zombies, or edgy vampires in mech suits. (More like meh suits, Daniel thought) So he did what he always did. Picked up his sniper rifle and all the ammunition that he needed, an uzi and his armor, took a pre-emprative painkiller, and set off to get these guys out of his swamp.

  • One man with a sniper and an uzi would only be a speed bump for these men it seemed. The skies were filled with their aircraft and they had armored support. They were currently breaching the wall of dojoville, using their artillery support to strike inside the wall. These looked to be Ordinary men, nothing special about them besides the fact that they were invading.

"FU#KING TRY ME MATE." Cravis said, through the fourth wall, to pavel, while raising his sniper rifle, inserting a green magasine, and firing a shield - piercing round, non explosive, into the fusilage of an aircraft.

  • The shot pinged off the aircraft, doing nothing but superficial damage, indeed the pilot didn't even noice as he continued his bombing run on a dojo military position.

  • But the round didn't ping off; it stuck in the ship's fusilage, while Cravis took cover.
wait for it...
•
nah bro, it pinged off, even if there was something in that bullet, the force at which it contacted a jet on the verge of going supersonic speeds would have literally disintegrated it.
The jet was long gone as it finished its run and left the AO to rearm and refuel. As he was messing about waiting for an explosion that would never happen it seems that a forward observer had spotted him and called mortar fire onto his position.

  •
well its made of some convinent material which doesn't break. And he's used this ability before.
The mortar fire was a close hit, as he was blown onto his back, and sought reposition Meanwhile, as the ship was refueling, a small chip came out of the tiny bullet, and sent a small virus to the mainframe, with a security pass from the ship's landing clearance, to send a small viral package to almost every other aircraft in his group (squadron, unit, whatever their divided into)

  •
lol, no such material, but these aren't super advanced sci fi aircraft, your virus would not be able to do much besides listen into their comms, it wouldn't even Prevent them from talking.
The high tech virus found itself trapped with nowhere to go in the single aircraft, as there was no real way for it to transfer itself to anywhere else. The mortars kept coming down as they were unsure how many men were with the sniper, or if he'd been hit or not.

  •
so where exactly are they getting their orders from? And I'm pretty sure autopilot is a thing.
The Primery objective done, the chip disintegrated, and Cravis pulled out a small handheld device and checked the trajectories of all the other planes, while the virus, now in all the other planes, began the secondary objective.

  •
An awacs, but autopilot is something you can turn off dude, pilots don't like to use it, and never use it in a combat scenario like this.
The virus was only in the one aircraft, having no path to the other aircraft. The aircraft's computer was not advanced enough to interface and network with others. Whoever he was expecting to fight with this, these were not those guys.

  • (Unfortunately, the virus had moved from the comms channels of the other ships, to the headset of the pilots, to the wings)
it can't be off. It can only not currently be used
•
again, not as high tech as you think. And while the auto pilot is disabled it has no control over the aircraft, this is to prevent it from killing the pilot if he's trying to do maneuvers and evade, even when it's on, the pilot's controls overwrite the system.
The virus was isolated.

  •
ok, fine, but the HUD the pilot has is connected to the wings, right, so it knows all of the info?
