"Is there truly a need for the rhymes that are like limes? Sour?"

Edited by ALIAS-F4LS: 1/30/2017 9:45:53 PM"So I see. That does sound rather impressive." Chesh walked up to a thick coating of vines and started clawing them apart. Behind them, an old gate stood still sturdy against the canopy. He pulled out a key he wore under his shirt and put it in the slot. A set of words began to write themselves on the gate. A riddle. I am third in the sea, second on land, and also the second you find in a hand Was written on the wall. "What a strange method of security."
Can skip this part buuuut it just seems Wonderlandy for something like this to happen
-
Keep it.
Royal sighed, looking down "What's with the damn riddles? I mean what kind of security is that even supposed to be?"
-
then let the guessing games begin!
Chesh sits back laughing. "Why am I not surprised. They practically ripped off my own trick! Ah I'm not sure whether to be insulted or proud that someone would use my abilities as a lock."
-
"Your abilities? Rhymes aren't an ability anymore then they're a chores."
-
"Not when I use them. Words are weapons in the right mouth. Would you believe I won a fight by just talking alone?"
-
"So have I. Just gotta talk your way out of it, or talk for so long they give up."
-
"Not quite what I meant but oh well. The riddle wall seems effective in most cases"
hints?
-
"Third in the sea... Second by land.... Second you find in a hand? Dust? Iron? Hair!"
-
The door remained unresponsive. Chesh looks over. "You may want to buy a vowel"
-
"Oh haha real funny Chesh. You have any ideas?"
-
"Well I could take a guess if you'd like"

Edited by Royal Blade: 1/31/2017 12:02:27 AM"Go for it, King of rhymes."
-
"The third in sea, second on land, the second found in hand" Chesh rubs his hand against the riddle. Then confidently declares. "The letter A" The gate unlocks and then creaks open "Last time they use that kind of lock I'd assume"
-
"Oh dear that's genius! It's so simplistic, yet so complex at the same time."
-
"It's part of the cleverness. If the puzzle is unusual and frustrating they can't think straight. I've used simmilar tricks though it's usually a bit less forgiving" Once the gate fully opens Chesh starts to make his way in. Ash gets up ready to follow. "I'm not even going to try and rhyme this. Things could get messy in here. In truth the jabberwocky still lives but was pinned by the sword. Once it's pulled out the creature might lash out or it may simply sleep through it. I'm not sure which yet."
-
"If it wakes up, we kill the S.O.B. Again. Simple as that really. No reason to question it." In Royal's hand formed a card with a sword on It https://imgur.com/mGv4sUr
-
Ash lightly smiles almost seeming as if she showed more emotion it would be laughter. "I believe from the books this would be apropriate to say off with its head?" Chesh just shook his head chuckling. "Well they deffinitely gotten that part of the book right" As they enter, the room gives way to a open field. Scratches and claw marks could be seen throughout the the coliseum shaped room. In the center laid the beast with what could have been mistaken for a knife if it wasn't so large.
-
The card in Royal's hand turned into the sword he had took from the castle walls, and he walked towards the beast quietly
-
The monsters chest rose and fell but apart from that it did not move. Trees even began to grow on it from how long it had laid motionless. Ash looked at its closed eyes. "It isn't dead I know that much. It's strange. One would think it would need to feed after all this time though it almost seems unsessisary for it. It's as if it fed on others out of entertainment over need."
-
"Huh...." Royal raised his weapon and took a step forward
-
Chesh Teleports atop of the creature with both hands on the sword. "Well, hope for the best and expect the worse it seems." He begins to pull at the blade that was lodged between the scales and after a few moments he manages to get it dislodged then teleports back over. "Well that wasn't too bad." The beast starts to snarl, it's eyes open up, the claws flex and it rears it's head their way. "Or perhaps this isn't too good"
-
"I say we run..." He pivoted around, sprinting towards the exit
-
Ash who was closest to the creature started to run with the creature gaining on her. It went to bite but was stopped by the halberd she was carrying being lodged into its mouth. "How did a girl fight something like this!?" "like I said, it's a very powerful sword. As for how she didn't get taken in one swoop, luck perhaps?"
-
"Luck? Royal skidded to a halt turning to see Ash's location "Maybe..."
-
The jabberwocky seemed too preoccupied with trying to dislodge the halberd at the moment to noticed Ash vanished. Within moments her pale hand was reaching out from the reflection of the blade as she was trying to catch up and jump out of it.
