No mention for sniper flinch reduction, Bungie?

Bungie, how is this game going to feel balance when snipers are going to be even more useless. Bungie you're going to buff primaries so why keep the sniper flinch so high? So you guys really don't care about snipers anymore. I should just quit Destiny then? I think if you guys tried to use a sniper in the lab test that you guys are working, there should be an issue with snipers. Also, player data should also show you guys that snipers aren't used equally as shotguns. Why no mention about the player data for snipers? Do you guys even test snipers? If no, tell us and don't be quite. Tell me the information I want to hear. If you're not going to fix snipers just say it Bungie and I will leave these forums and never return to play Destiny.

  • I really don't get this mentality. Bungie snipers are already easy mode compared to most FPS. Let go down the list... Always on radar. The radar on Destiny is something that would be a kill streak perk in most games. Redonkulous aim assist. You can literally see the cross hairs follow your target. No sway scopes. That thing is as steady as a tripod, even standing up. And until recently... Barely any flinch when you are getting shot. What you want is a OHK scout rifle so you can trade hits with a primary. Sorry kid, I'm gonna have to say no and hope to God that they don't think twice about such nonsense. The flinch is the only thing that is keeping snipers in check. But since I like you I'll tell you a secret... If you miss your shot and start taking fire... [spoiler]Use your [b][u]PRIMARY[/u][/b][/spoiler]

    • I don't get it. Why should a sniper just stand there trying to get his one shot on me while I put my 3 or 4 shots on him with my Mida? The sniper is getting shot, I cant believe that people think this should have no affect. If ran up and slapped one it would have an affect, why the hell shouldn't a bullet. Just stop it, stop looking for another crutch.

      • To be honest Snipers are kinda good where they're at. If anything, buff Unflinching a bit more, but nothing like to Year 1 - 2 - 1/2 standards. If you think that you should be able to out gun (Snipe) someone, if they're shooting at you first, and already have you at 75 - 50 percent health. Then you may want to go find something else to play. That's just as unfair as a Jugg w/ Shotty skating towards you, but you seen him 1st, shot at him 1st, and no return of fire from the Titan for 3-5secs as he's skating towards you, but 1/3rd of your ammo is completely wasted, (i.e TLW Hip Fire w/ one Shotgun shot, and maybe a nade) because the Titan has a Jugg Shield, the Meta will cater towards brainless running, and gunning while other games, you'll get instant punish for playing with out thinking. And that's no different from Snipers. You aim down sight hard scooping a lane, you get flanked, by a scout or pulse with HCR'S or Explosive Rounds, you telling me you should be able to still line up your shot and still get a cheeky head shot without no repercussions, such as you should of died by trying to out gun someone who shot at you 1st? In Halo, it would pull you out of your scope while dealing with flinch. Bungie should do that for Destiny 2.

        Here we go again with you. How many Zero Upvoted threads is it going to take for you to realize that no one agrees with you? Sometimes it's about when a weapon is being used in a way outside it's design. Sometimes it's about not being able to counter properly. In the last IB there were planets of snipers. Did you even play or are you just trolling now? Snipers are not meant to be used in shorter distances. Bungie's own goal for the weapon is "harder to use in shorter ranges" and that's what they've done. Flinch non longer 'assists' in kills by being inadequate Andy predictable. Fact is if you're having trouble sniping now you just weren't that good before and you were relying on the easy flinch to get you kills.         • Snipers are fine... a sniper should be doing the picking without the enemy seeing them... you shouldn't be able to snipe when your engaged in a gun fight. This separate a good sniper from the bad snipers. Plain and simple.

But i wouldnt ask unless its something of absolute importance... Not something like this. As for sniper flinch, you arent meant to be able to accurately hit headshots while under fire. If you really dont like the flinch i suggest picking up a queen breakers bow. It doesnt have the flinch and if you can get used to the charge time youll be able to snipe the way you did back when 1k stares dominated lanes

        • I have no problem with flinch. My issue is not being able to snipe roaming Supers.

            The problem is that the people test playing only play the current meta, and don't play in public matches. I've been saying it forever. FORCE each of them to play 2 matches/day/playlist.
