Guardian Base 54
"Bronze, hey Bronze!" Garret yelled across the base, his voice echoing throughout the walls. Bronze immediately came running to the main room, screeching to a halt in front of Garret.
"Yeah?"
"We're low on trash bags, bread, and batteries. You want to go get some?"
"Why can't Jolt do it?"
"She's training with some group called the sunbreakers, I don't know. You're gonna have to do it. I'm tired as hell."
"No problem! I swear that I will get these groceries, no matter how long it may take!" Bronze yelled, stepping forward in a heroic pose.
"Dear goodness." Garret sighed, resting his face in his hand.
Tarantella's Ship
"Piece of junk!" Tarantella yelled, kicking an odd machine in the corner of his pitch black ship.
"What's up, Tella?" Grahk asked, coming around the corner.
"It won't work. We need more fuel!" Tarantella exclaimed. "I need you to steal some Cabal fuel. And... you're gonna need to buy some electronics from a civilian market. Grab a cloak or something to cover you.
"No problem, boss." The captain replied, vaporizing off of the ship and leaving a cloud of smoke in his wake.
The City
"Hey! You can't land your ship in the middle of a shopping center!" A city guard yelled as civilians scattered away from Bronze's ship.
"Sorry about that!" Bronze replied, transmitting off of his ship. He wore civilian clothes, a simple white t shirt and khakis.
"I told you this was a bad idea." His ghost sighed. Now, you've got your hydraulics checked? Memory locked? Check, check, check check... okay, we're good! For now!"
"Hey! Look at this! There's action figures of guardians! This one looks a bit like me!" Bronze exclaimed, grabbing a package off of a shelf.
"Okay, you can get it as long as we have money, but let's stay on task, Bronze." His ghost replied. Follow me.
Bronze followed his ghost around, getting everything he needed. He decided he had a few minutes to look around before he left, as he didn't come to the store often. As he headed to the technology section, he spotted a really large, hooded figure looking at cameras, hunched over.
"Hold on a minute." Bronze's ghost said, floating over to the figure. He scanned it, then went in under the cloak, surprising the figure as he pulled it up, then quickly transmitting back to Bronze.
Nearby civilians stopped cold, seeing the pitch black captain. The captain sighed as he pulled out a shrapnel launcher.
"Somebody call a guardian!" Yelled a man.
"Oh, yeah. Hey guys! I'm a guardian!" Bronze yelled, armor transmitting onto him, along with his pulse rifle. The captain let out an unearthly screech, charging at Bronze.
Later
"So you agree to leave as long as you get what you came for. Correct?" Bronze said to Grahk, who reluctantly nodded, knowing it was pointless to even try causing a disturbance.
"I'm to weak with all the light here anyway. Whatever." He said, vanishing while holding several electronics in a sack.
"Whelp, we better get back to Garret. Call our ship to us!" Bronze said.
"That's a terrible idea." His ghost replied.
