The courtyard was littered with a variety of people, ranging from teenagers to old men and women, carrying guns, swords, knives, dressed in a myriad of colors. That man Desmond hadn't described what this Lance would look like, but maybe someone here knew? If he claimed he was the world's greatest swordsman, surely someone would have heard of him.

  • -Ammourette immediately regretted coming back. She was surrounded by strangers, and had no idea who out of the crowd could be after her life. She pulled the hood down further over her face and took a few hesitant steps backwards.- M-maybe I should just go...

  • No one looked twice at her, just carrying on with conversations, drinking coffee or polishing weapons. One teenage boy looked especially friendly, young with dimpled cheeks, not more than sixteen years old and rather cut. He was reading a book, in a t-shirt and jeans and kept having to push the glasses on his nose back up. Perhaps he'd know something, he seemed easy to approach.

  • Whelp, I tried Yeah, yeah it was too crowded and everyone was mean looking that's what I'll say. -Ammourette reassured herself with a not so confident smile as she walked back out onto the road- Geez, what a wimp. -She finally hung her head in defeat as she walked- Well I suppose if you have to go looking for the guy, he must not be that great. Wouldn't a great swordsman be showing off or training or i dunno something?! -She shrugged and looked skywards lazily watching a few clouds go by.- Maybe.... Maybe it's time to disappear again.

  • And just like that.. the world froze. The air around her seemed to drop ten degrees, the atmosphere itself seemed to close in on her and suck the air from her lungs, the very world seemed to quiet in anticipation. The shadows on the walls lengthened and stretched like they were responding to their master's call.. The very essence of her existence became swamped with sorrow and grief, a myriad of emotions that leeched on her very soul..what was the source of this? This new aura wasn't malevolent or evil..but it was..sad. And suffocating.

  • -Ammourette shivered at all these feelings as they crawled over her, giving goosebumps.- Who's there?! -She kept her face concealed as her keen eyes darted back and forth.- Show yourself! -She drew her short katana, the green liquid that coated its blade hissed and crackled upon hitting the dirt, a strong acid. Her free hand grabbed a white powdery substance from a hidden pouch hidden in her person.- -She awaited a response, her hands ready to strike like a patient cat hunting prey.-

  • Just like that, like her words had triggered something..a figure materialized down the road from the Dojo. From her distance it was impossible to make out specifics, but what she could see was a tall and shadowy man, wrapped in a dark cloak making his way to the Dojo. And from over his back were..there katana hilts. Something about the man was familiar, but as he drew closer, that suffocating and smothering essence of sadness and sorrow invaded her senses. Like this man was a harbinger of grief..

-She saw shadows and the hilts of three Katanas and her blood froze.- J-jay? -She took a step back her eyes going wide. Her expression changes when she felt the sorrow and grief... it wasn't him, it couldn't be. That man clad in red only exhumed overwhelming Hatred.- But then.... who could it..... You! Who are you!?

  • So fast..to the point It could have been a trick of the light..he disappeared. Gone, flickering out of existence like a bad picture on a tv. In the next moment, the man stood in front of her, blinking into existence not four feet from her. His features and clothing were still unrecognizable because of the hood and the cloak, but a white and gold katana hilt, a pitch black one, and an olive green one with an oriental dragon head pommel peeked over his shoulder. No..this wasn't Jay. Not by a long shot. "You don't remember me..do you?" The figure asks quietly, head still down and hood shadowing his face. His voice was cold and metallic, like razors on ice. Enough to send a shiver down Ami's spine..if it wasn't familiar in some way..

  • -The voice was different yet similar, the tone setting off another wave of pain through Ammourette's head. She gasped and put a hand to her head, staring back with crimson eyes.- I.... I... -She couldn't form a rational thought, it was as if something was screaming at her to recognize who stood before her but she was unable.- Have you come to kill me...? -She finally sputtered, her katana still gripped tightly in hand.-

"No..no I haven't." The man reaches up and pulls the hood off of his head, revealing his face. He was beyond handsome, his face all sharp angles and rugged features. He had medium length chocolate brown hair, with a lock of it falling over his face. His eyes though..they were an icy blue, frozen with grief and sorrow, yet blazed with rage. Those eyes had an untold amount of stories behind them.. A sad little smile crossed his lips, upturning the corners ever so slightly, but he said nothing more, merely glancing at her once, up and down before resting those frozen eyes on her crimson ones.

  • -Ammourette tackled him, wrapping her arms around him in a big hug. Her face buried in his chest hiding tears, her tiny frame shaking, she was crying.- I remember you... Lance. -Memories of Terra played in her mind, how could she forget this man. The noble swordsman she met all that time ago.-

  • He laughs softly and smiles, wrapping his arms around her gently and hugging her. "Good.. I might have been insulted if you hadn't." The same cheeky humor was still there. Same old Lance. He doesn't say anything, just letting her weep into his chest quietly, holding her against him.

  • I'm sorry... I'm so so sorry. -She sobbed into his chest.- I didn't have control over my own actions. I was like a prisoner in my mind, forced to watch as i... -She whimpered softly not loosening up on her embrace, it had been so long since she'd seen a friendly face.-

  • ''I know.. you don't have to apologize. I understand.'' Lance held her tightly, feeling her tears dampen his t-shirt, but didn't let her go. To think.. he'd almost killed her because he'd thought she was beyond saving.. ''Are you okay?'' He asks over her shoulder, his arms still wrapped around her. Ammourette was one of the kindest souls he'd ever met. The world needed more people like her, and he was so, so happy she was back. Even he didn't show it..that wasn't his way.
