[u]Ummm... Yeah, I won't hurt you or anyone else for that matter. At least not by choice.[/u] James was more confused now. How could him knowing Watchers identity bring him harm?

"I'm not worried about you hurting me. I'm worried about you knowing me hurting you. You remember how I told you I was thief? I worked for a lot of not-so-nice people just to keep food on the table and have a place to sleep. I'd be willing to bet that the second they found out that I was still alive, they'd be after me, and be willing to capture, interrogate, and torture anyone who knows me personally. I don't want anyone hurt because of me." [i]He said, finally getting it off of his chest.[/i]

[u]Well, I was a thief and a beggar as well. The thing with me; I never worked with not-so-nice people. You know why?[/u] James waited a second before he answered his own question. [u]It's because I never knew [b]any[/b] people. I knew no nice people nor not-so-nice people. Being alone out there for 14 years without one person to talk to, it kills you. Makes you something other than human. I worked for myself, there was a time where I didn't say one word for 6 years. 6. [b]Years.[/b] That's almost half of my life. I've never felt love, never been loved. I think it's worth the risk now that I may have found [b]something.[/b] I'll get tortured, I'll risk life and limb if there's a chance, even a slight chance that I'll have people to talk to and people who can talk to me. I've been hurt before. I watched my mother and father die. I'm a killer. I hurt myself more than anyone else ever could. I'm fine. I'll keep knowing you until I can't anymore[/u]. And with that, James sat down again and looked at Watcher.

[i]Watcher was silent. He was quite honestly taken aback. James never struck him as someone to have been such a loner, the kid just didn't seem it. Then again, he should've figured that him being alone for all that time was why he wanted someone to talk to. Even still, it was surprising, because he had been so reluctant to open up to Rose and the others. James seemed to not care, he just wanted to talk. For a moment, he stood there, unsure of just how react to James' story. He wasn't good at the whole compassion thing, not because he didn't want to be, but because he simply didn't know how to. [/i]

Since Watcher didn't reply, James continued. [u]Im not asking for your pity. I don't need remorse or empathy. I'm just not going to give up. [/u]

[i]With people like Wilson around, it was kind of hard to be totally safe. Watcher really just wanted to find out what he could about James before he turned the questions around towards him.[/i]

[u]Well we both know why I came here. I heard that through some other thieves about this place and I decided that I would come to get trained and then ditch. After the deed was done, I decided not to leave. This place is definitely safer than not having a home at all. There's some psychos, but there's psychos everywhere.[/u]

He was fast and intelligent, but he didn't have any abilities without his suit. He was just a regular sixteen-year-old.[/i]

"Yeah, as far as being normal humans without powers goes. I'm average, Rose is average, Clarkson is average, Wolfe is average, and I'd say that Wilson is, but he's basically a sociopath, so that kinda rules him out. He doesn't have powers per se, but he does have some enhancements." [i]Watcher replied. He was pretty average compared to some of the others.[/i]

[u]From what I can tell, yes. There was a time that I had an of man to mentor me. He was blind and basically he told me that I have some special power. He told me how to active them. Then he died. Then I stopped talking for a few years. So yeah, I think it was just a birth thing[/u]

[u]Umm... I've really only used them for less then 5 minutes at a time. It's a good question, but one I can't answer. I've been told I'm [b]very[/b] dangerous. I don't see it. [/u] James could tell how interested Watcher was in his powers. James was as well, at one point.

Not a lot of people have that ability." [i]Watcher hadn't met anyone else in the Dojo with the abilities to manipulate time, so this was a first.[/i]

[/u] James was seriously considering immortality but he then realized that was an evil thought and stowed it away. [u]Nevermind that. Could I slow time for someone else I wonder... that'd be revolutionary in war...[/u]
