The wires attacking Rhys were dispersed and knocked back, their superheated lines fading a bit. A curved Shotel blade appeared in his hand as he was slashed by one chain, holding the other bladed chain with his other hand which was coated in a thick black gauntlet made up of millions of dark monofilament. With his curved Shotel he hooked the back of Rhys' knee and pulled forward, knocking him to the ground as he kicked him in the chest to send him back. The Shotel remained hooked to the back of his knee as its pommel was anchored to a thick cord that ran its way to Al's hip, where a spool of the entire cord was kept. Behind Rhys a wall of ivory-white formed. It was not glowing, but it seemed solid enough to damage Rhys if he impacted into it.
