The Newcomer... not like anyone even cares | Somewhere in the Dojo A figure, dressed in all white armor, slipped his way through the crowd of civilians. He was tall in comparison to everyone else, his boots creating a metal clang as he walked. He wasn't sure where he was going, but had a feeling it would be somewhere decent. He didn't want to go to a bar - he never liked to drink. He heard everything through the crowd of mixed individuals. Their problems, their plans for the evening, it was quite interesting - knowing what people were doing or what they planned on doing. It made things fresh. It wasn't the same routine every day. Rain had began to fall, the orange lights in his armor and visor seemed to be a faded haze of colors due to the heavy downpour. He had been walking for at least two hours, still, not having a clue on where he was. He just so happened to have stumbled across the Dojo by mistake, it was never intentional to come here. Surprisingly, people didn't seem to mind a tall man in an all white power suit. It baffled him on how oblivious people were... or, were they just used to it? It didn't seem unlikely. For some reason it felt very plausible for a place like this. He continued on, the people still bustling by, going on with their day. He didn't seem to mind this, however. He, for some reason, found it calming. It felt natural to be walking around these streets. But he did hope for some interaction with another person, no matter who it was.
Open. Please, feel free to reply. I've been trying to get back into RP.
• Rhys swings at the energy once more, but this time it only stops it mid air, causing Rhys to fly back several feet. He struggles to get up, but manages - releasing a large wall of fire and electricity at Vernon; multiple walls, actually, in several different locations in case he decided to dodge them.

  • "Crap..." The armor had completely fallen away, revealing Vernon's body and clothing. But this meant he had practically no way to escape the walls because of this. "Well, I guess it worked for Geronimo." Vernon tried to find a spot in one of the walls where it was mostly flame, and then ran directly at it. He leapt through the wall, praying he wouldn't be shocked, and landed on the other side. He immediately began to put out the flames on his clothing as a red aura began to form around him. He then dropped into a battle stance, although he looked a little shaken thanks to the fact that he just jumped through fire and lightning.

Rhys slams the warhammer on the ground, causing the earth to shake and crack beneath Vernon. The cracks erect huge spires of fire and lightning. He then slams the hammer down once more, creating a kinetic shockwave that went every direction around Rhys.

  • The aura forms at last, creating Rage and Despair. With the armor formed, Vernon throws Despair through the shockwave, using his own influence over it to battle against it. The sword passes through as Vernon backs away while avoiding cracks, and Despair is headed straight for Rhys' chest.

  • Rhys flies into the air, avoiding Despair, while at the same time, hurling lightning bolts towards Vernon. He flies around Vernon at all angles, waiting for any of his attacks.

  • Vernon frantically attempts to avoid the bolts, but catches a few. Rage helps to dissipate the shock, but it still hurts Vernon somewhat. Meanwhile, Vernon calls Despair back, but influences it upward. The blade is flying directly into Rhys' flight path, and'll hit him unless something's done.

  • Rhys hurls towards the ground in front of Vernon, creating a massive shockwave of kinetic energy to push him back. Rhys then continues to move, just in case if Despair was still following him.

  • Vernon stumbles back, disoriented from the shockwave. But he recovers. As Rhys starts to rise again after dodging Despair, Vernon teleports to the sword. He then throws it at Rhys' left wing just far enough ahead to try and intercept him.

  • Due to the wings only being exoskeletons, Despair passes right through the lightning - and Rhys charges at Vernon with a fast motion swinging the hammer at his head.

  • Seeing the incoming charge, Vernon waits until what attack Rhys is planning is apparent, then rolls away from it. All the while, he's called Despair back to his hand. So once the attack lands, Vernon rushes back in with a diagonal slash against whatever part of the left wing's exoskeleton that holds it together.

  • Despair cuts through the wing, destroying it. Rhys didn't seem too bothered though as he quickly turned around and hit Vernon in the side of the head with the warhammer. He then closes what's left of his wings, and gets ready to dodge whatever attack is next.

  • The strike sends Vernon flying, causing him to bounce along the ground before stopping. He staggers to his feet, and holds his head. "You... little shit." He shakes his head, still trying to recover. He then throws Despair at Rhys, but screws up the throw. He winds up hitting Rhys in the thigh with the hilt of the sword.

  • The swords bounces off of his leg, Rhys looks up at Vernon, surprised. "Woo! Takin' it like a champ!" He runs up to Vernon as he's disoriented and sweeps the warhammer under his legs, then smacks his stomach while he's in the air. Slamming him into the ground.

  • Rage takes the blunt force, but Vernon still takes damage from the properties of the war hammer. While on the floor, JJ musters up enough thought to call Despair back, causing to fly back and plant itself in Rhys' back.

Rhys jerks his back in pain, kneeling down on the ground, pulling the sword from his back tossing it to the side. "That hurt... a lot." Rhys stands, but can barely move forward. Gathering up enough strength, he manages to swing his warhammer a few more times onto Vernon's head and stomach. Until finally collapsing onto the ground.

  • Vernon holds his arms in front of his head in order to block the blows, fracturing his forearms in the process of taking heavy hits in such a rapid succession. His stomach however, received no such protection. Once Rhys gave out from exhaustion, Vernon struggled to his knees and puked. "I need to stop eating before these." Vernon then calls Despair back to his hand, and Rage brightens. Vernon then drives Despair into the right shoulder blade of Rhys, almost drunkenly after being disoriented so badly. He then kicks Rhys in the face, hoping to flip him over and cause him to land on the sword.

  • As Vernon kicks Rhys in the face, his helmet is knocked off, revealing a dark face with bright orange eyes. He falls back on the sword, puncturing his back once more. Somehow Rhys gathers enough strength to stand, staring at Vernon with Despair sticking out of his back. His face is a dark tone, a very dark tone. He's African American. His eyes shine brightly, piercing into Vernon's eyes. He falls to his knees, then whispers... "Kent... is my son..." Rhys collapses onto the floor, blood slowly forming a puddle around his body.

  • Rhys swings the hammer at the cannon shot, the energy on the hammer shoots it back towards Vernon, hitting his chest. Rhys then swings the hammer up in an arcing manor towards Vernon's chest, rattling his bones while simultaneously knocking him back a few meters.
This is the hammer Luis and I were talking about... I think you were there. It's essentially a beefed up version of a gravity hammer, that ignores all armor.
A small figure was leaning against the wall of a building as he saw the man walking by. He was about 5'7 himself, a height far from impressive but he did not seem to care. He wore a thick motorcycle jacket with a ragged scarf wrapped around his angular helmet, with three cylinders of some kind of metal hanging from his neck via a cord. Deciding that this newcomer looked promising enough in his all white armour, the figure got up from his position and began to follow the man. Such an act would normally be considered suspicious by anyone... Because it was. But in all honesty, the stranger was deliberately following him as a test.

He noticed him immediately, but acted as if he didn't notice. Traversing the crowd and admiring the architecture. He seemed to ponder more than anything. Until finally, he decided to sit on a bench. That is when he decided to see what the man following him would do.

  • He walked. And walked. And walked. Strange how the man was just wandering, but who was Al to judge - he was technically stalking a man just because he was bored. For good measure he quickened his pace and ended up a few feet behind the man, always trailing him but not engaging him.

  • He stands from the bench, and approaches the man. "Can I help you with something?" His voice was deep and metallic, and surprisingly, he didn't seem to be armed. From what Al could tell, at least.

  • "You know, I read in a psychology book once that the fear of possibility can sometimes overcome rational fear: being afraid of what's actually in front of you. Most of these folk are pretty jumpy, so I'm glad to see you're not." His voice was young, perhaps only early twenties? Maybe even younger. He spoke in a friendly tone as if he already knew the man. Slumping his shoulders, he realized he was speaking to a complete stranger. "Sorry, force of habit. Name's Aloysious, who are you?"

  • He seemed surprised by the man's actions, but openly replied to him. "My name's Rhys. Nice to meet you Al- is it okay if I call you that?"

  • "Sure thing," he said. "Sorry again. It's just that there's not really much to do here. You come around, everyone's pretty edgy and omnipotent it's almost like you're not even talking to people any more. Even more boring to fight against to - you expect the same cliche stuff, you feel?" Ah, my mistake. You're a newcomer here, aren't you? Do you know what this place is?"
