The United States of Hypocrites
*A Wild Gringo has appeared*
As the election spurs down and people emotionally cope with Trumps victory and people who dislike Trump's victory, I feel like now would be a great time to share my observations about the hypocrisy of a Post-Election America. Let me explain.
Just to say I disliked Trump more than I did Hillary but I assure, I am calling everyone out on this.
When the election was in full swing, a big proponent of Trump's campaign was that he claimed that the election was rigged. During a debate when asked if he would accept the results of the election, Trump claimed he would wait and see. This made headlines and for good reason. Hillary Clinton said that if you do not accept the results of the election, you undermine the republic we love so dearly in America. Hillary supporters generally jumped on this opportunity to say that Trump and his supporters were sore losers and were putting themselves in front of the country. Trump and his supporters stood firmly and said the election was rigged. Many said they would protest Hillary's win since they claimed it would be unfair. Both sides stood by this... Until Trump won. Hillary supporters took to the streets and protested the election claiming it was rigged and demanded a recount. Trump and his supporters called them out as "crybabies" and "sore losers". Hashtags were formed and Jill Stein (because why not) even got recounts in a few places. Hillary supporters blamed the electoral college since she had won the popular vote and Trump supporters denounced them for trying to undermine the republic we love so dearly in America. Do you see what I am getting at? You can not denounce someone for saying they will protest the results, and then continue to do that very same thing yourself. You can not say that you will protest the results and then mock those who do just that. It is hypocritical and the amount of people partaking in this idiocy is astonishing. While the election is running down and people go back to their lives, I thought it was just something to bring up.
Hillary supporters took to the streets and protested the election claiming it was rigged and demanded a recount.
I'll do you one better. From what I have seen, the people who were (are still) crying, wailing, and throwing fits of despair over Trump's win are not really that much Hillary supporters. They are former Bernie supporters. Darn near every person I saw extolling 'Feel the Bern' throughout the primaries are the ones having the hardest time with these post election results. Some of the woe, doom and gloom as well as just outright hatred toward people who didn't agree with them is just mind boggling. They manifest this all into apocalyptic proportions with the amount that they seem to be carrying on. This just does not compute in my apparently feeble brain. They castigate and lecture everyone who opposes them on why Hillary / Trump. What about the DNC throwing Bernie under the bus is it that they do not understand? Are they that blind to their own that they do not see how broken their own party is? (Despite the fact that the GOP is in no better shape). The candidate that they were so gung-ho never had any real chance of winning the Democratic nomination, because of subversion inside their own ranks. Post Democratic convention, they line up in rank and file and become the most ardent Hillary supporters despite the fact that she is the reason that their candidate was never a real option. Now post election continuing to today they are the most disgruntled people acting like children in the midst of their terrible 2's. I forgot. Blind hate doesn't have to make sense.
I am not now nor have I ever been a Trump supporter. My candidate did not make it either. I am merely stating what obviously has transpired since the election, but no one seems to want to throw a light upon. I find this very odd.
