Even though JJ seemed like a husk, he could still predict an attack. The beams circling JJ made it rather obvious what was to happen next. JJ jumped just before the beams suddenly closed, causing some to miss. The others that did hit merely dissipated upon colliding with Rage, but the force behind them did cause some internal damage, but it wouldn't cripple him. JJ then turns to Zane after landing, and utters one word in a tone and manner completely unlike him. "Quit." JJ then throws his sword directly in front of Zane, just out of range of the short beams coming out of his hands. He then appears directly in front of Zane, delivering a punch to the bottom of the sternum with speed to match Zane himself. He then follows up with a diagonal slash with Despair.
