animation. level design. enemy/boss design for new characters. AI behavior. enemy placement and scripted events. testing the flow of the strike. testing the mechanics, making sure there are no cheese spots or other exploits to ruin the strike. testing for bugs. AI bugs, gameplay bugs, mechanics bugs, environmental bugs. testing. testing. testing. and more testing. also did i mention testing? these kids dont even have the first clue of what half that stuff is, never mind what it takes to design a brand new strike. even with existing assets to retool and reskin, it still isnt a quick turn around. for some reason they seem to think bungie can fire up a level designer, lay a few rooms with a few clicks, drop in some enemies, and pump out a whole new strike or mission over a weekend like its minecraft or little big planet. the ignorance is astounding, but not surprising.
