It seems that Bungie has started to act like Scrooge by starting it right when Iron Banner ends. Bungie can still save Christmas for everybody by starting it on 12/27/2016 and ending it on 1/31/2017. That way, people who are getting the game on Christmas can be merry without being forced to wait to start the game until after the event is over.

We will be traveling. Oh well, sounded like it would have been fun. Which is why I like your idea.

At least you are taking a 3 week vacation. That must be nice.

The joys of being self-employed.

Cry about it

I wish the event was a week longer

You can start the game while the event is in progress, I'm confused by what you mean.
-
What I mean is that if Bungie starts it on the 27th, everyone can get a chance to enjoy the event to its fullest. By starting it on the 13th, it only gives people who get the game on Christmas one week to enjoy it forcing people who start out on the 25th a sense that they were being left behind in favor of the more fortunate ones.
-
who cares about those people. this event is for elite guardians not christmas noobs.
-
There are people that are going to be trashed the entire week of the 27th - 2nd. Bungie is just taking us/them into consideration, that's all. ;)

far more important.

That makes sense it would have been good for Christmas noobs to be able to be able to play for the whole event not miss half of it
