One of the figures with the katana is quick enough to hit Zane in the chest before he's destroyed, but it's merely a flesh wound. Nothing is left behind of the figure, save for a pile of ash. The shield destroys all but three of the last of the figures, who were barely fast enough to avoid the shield. Two are lifelike and are in the sky, one is on the ground and fake. The pistol of the one on the ground forms into throwing knives, which are promptly unleashed. The two in the sky instead siphon ash from the fallen, creating sniper rifles for both. One fires at Zane's upper spine, while the other fires for Zane's collar.
