So they are bringing foward the nexus strike with a taken and a siva variant. Since lore wise this is absurd as 1. Siva isn't on venus and 2. The nexus can't exist because the restoritive mind exist then I'd say it is safe to say there is absolutely zero excuses as to why they cant bring y1 raids foward. Edit: Just because an aspect of lore is not on xbox because it is a TIMED ps exclusive does not make it void lore.

  • Actually SIVA was made in Clovis bray and coves bray works with the institute on Venus. It's very much possible for SIVA to be on any planet due to codes from Rasputin and his warsats and Clovis bray shipping technology during its golden age.

  • And the venus we are actually seeing isn't the venus originally from our dimension. We don't actually know what happened to our venus

The only thing you need to justify that Bungie doesn't stick to lore in game is the freaking Taken Archon Priest. Now THAT makes no sense... literally, you will have to make a new timeline to make that fit in. No less to explain it. -- Of course, you know what they're really going to do, right? They're not going to 'remake' The Nexus or Taniks physically, just the strike itself. They're going to do to them what they did to Valus Ta'aruc and the Taken. They just put in a bunch of Splicers 'trying' to get there before you. Which makes not sense... but they won't touch the bosses. At least, I hope not.

  • I just figured that the taken got to the body of the archon, and i guess they have resurrection powers or something. Thats just how i thought about the taken archon priest

  • Like I said, timeline wise that makes no sense. They would have to make a new timeline for that to work. The Archon Priest is a Fallen Priest that escaped from the Prison of Elders, probably a Wolf Priest. Well, that got lifted out. Remember, HoW happens after the Wolves have their uprising against the Queen. And we're just hunting down stragglers. The Archon Priest might be during when the Wolves started breaking themselves and others free. And they sent the Archon Priest to the House Winter for safety. Which ultimately means that, time wise, this is happening either through out or slightly after The Dark Below comes around. I am guessing, since we don't have dates to accurately confirm when something actually happens. Which might be a reason why House Winter joined House Wolves so quickly? Hmm.... Point being, there is no way that Oryx could have even arrived in our Solar System before we got the Archon Priest and dissipated his body in a flurry of Ghorn rockets.

  • Bungie probably doesn't really care tbh. They just want to bring "content" to keep their playerbase happy.

  • 1. SIVA can be anywhere. 2. It's possible for a remade nexus & restorative mind to exist if you think of the Playstation community as getting early access to an event that hasn't yet happened in the canon.

We aren't having early access. I guees one could see it that way. From lore early access isn't a thing. In the destiny universe it exist therefore it is cannon. Also no siva can't be anywhere it wants to be. If so it wouldn't have been trapped in the replication chamber all those years. From lore we eradicated siva itself by destoying tgat replication chamber. We then set out to destroy the splicers who were the only ones keft with siva. Yea siva did develop a mind of its own. Still it can only follow the protocol within its own coding. It would have had no reason to go to venus. So essentially when we eradicated the devil splicers we wiped all but a single engire core of siva from existence. The core is how we ended up with outbreak prime. It isn't impossible that siva somehow somewhere coukd still exist but there is nothing in the lore to even support that theory. Only that it has been wiped out.

  • All Bungie has to do is say "some of the devil splicers went to Venus to experiment with vex technology" to justify SIVA being there. That's what I meant by it can be anywhere. What I meant by early access is that Playstation players can play the strike now, but it's possible that the events within the strike take place after the modified Nexus is destroyed. Think of the upcoming strike as a prequel that was released after the restorative mind in real life, but takes place before the events you've already experienced.

All I know is the story keeps getting changed on the fly and it just a cheap uncreative way to extend game play. For example Dredgen Yor I believe in the original story was meant to be a warlock. There was a warlock walking around the dreadnaught in the live action prerelease for destiny vanilla. The same warlock (same appearance in gear at least) is depicted on every single thorn fragment card. Then destiny comes out all of the sudden there are cloaks and artifacts of Dredgen Yor that suggest he was a hunter. However recently a new bit of lore was added that would highly support him being Rezyl Azzir which is a titan. I believe the titan bit wasn't originally there in the first place and bungie did it to discredit the masses who all though he was a hunter or warlock. After all bungie prides themselves in discrediting stuff. Its not like any of the lore for roi was intended to exist in the first place as it wasn't a planned expansion or part of thier original story.

  • I still think Rezyl Azzir dies on the Moon.

Lol, that's an uncommon conclusion compared to most that i happen to mention it to.

  • Well the lore card places Rezyl directly where the dead titan lays. And the card said his light would shatter. When we come upon the dead titan we discovered that he had no ligt left not even a spark to reanimate. Then we find his dead ghost which we learned earlier that it was probably the one that was messing around at the lunar base station. People say the time line doesn't fit because they said it talked about recent activity. The recent activity I believe came from his ghost as he was trying to warn the vangaurd.

  • True, but there are several cards of several ghosts who have been left stranded on the Moon. And, we have seen, that Ghosts can fly ships. I don't think the Ghost got snatched, but rather, tried to find a way home. Either on Rezyl's ship or by itself. I find that to be plausible. I also don't think Rezyl is that deadTitan specifically because I would imagine he got a ways down into the Hive fortress before he confronted the Wizard. The reason I think that Rezyl died, and a lot of people disagree with me on, is how the Hive act in their nature. I see no reason, whatsoever, for why the Hive would let him go like people claim. It goes against their core 'values' of eating and torturing everything they can get their hands on. With the promise of long suffering, they would have either killed him or taken him to a torture chamber of sorts (or just a Thrall hatchery of sorts) to be eaten for a long time. Which is why Rezyl is not the Titan we see at the door for the Hive. He would be in the bowels of the Hive fortress for the torturing and magic wizards perform. We already know about the Hive, so they wouldn't send him back as a message. The Hive always want to eat light. It's like a drug addiction. They aren't going to give up someone that has light. They also never give pity to the weaker species. The strongest exist, the weakest serve existence by being consumed for the stronger. It would be against their nature and their laws to let him go. That and I also interpret the Wizard's words differently than most. I think, for a while, she's actually talking about Earth and how the Hive are waiting for the coming of Crota. And that is why she says that 'your light is merely an offense for now', something along those lines. And THEN she talks about Rezyl and how he will suffer. Meaning, to me, he will die. But die as slowly as possible.

  • You makes some interesting points. Especially with the hive and thier nature. They dont release hostages. And they dont spare lives. We know they can't because they must uphold the tribute to oryx and the worms. Could it be possible that the crashed ship we come upon in the 2nd story mission "restoration" be the ship that Rezyls ghost possibly came on?

  • That could be true. I hadn't thought of that. We really don't hear anything at all from the scan Ghost tells us. And we've never heard another ghost talk before so we can't necessarily say we know all Ghosts sound the same. Which, could in fact, be that ghost trying to contact anyone to let us know it'll be there. It would be even more convincing if the dead ghost you found in that area in that alone, super small building near the ship was connected to a Hive grimoire card.

Yea the possibility dawned on me when you reminded me that ghost can fly ships. A simple fact that had not crossed my mind.

  • It's very easy to overlook. Half the time I forget that ghost can fly our ship too until he swoops in on very select missions and shows off his piloting skills. And, you know, every time we land on the planet we seemingly don't have to land our ship. Of course, it could just be in orbit. But that could easily go hundreds of miles away from us if we were on foot even for a little bit. Most likely.

Well, look at the Iron Lords. When the first Iron Banner went out, and even a few YEARS past that, people had no clue at all why the guns had names on them other than 'they were Iron Lords' and that was it. No connection. You could guess if someone was a sniper or shotgunner or something like that. But no personality. No detail. Just names and very small margins of trying to say something but never enough to seem serious. -- And the only thing we knew about Saladin was that he didn't like Shaax and that Shaax didn't like him.
