Why Strike Scoring?
Everything has to be a damn competition...

I hope each bounty rewards you with a skeleton key...

Edited by Ghostfire239: 12/4/2016 5:47:34 AMThe thought of that was enough to give me...uh...a solidification if you catch my drift.

Edited by AscendantPotato: 12/4/2016 2:17:07 AMIf I understood the article correctly, unique rewards/gear are tied to the strike scoring and bounty completion. So in order to get them, you actually have to participate. I have a sneaking suspicion that it's a jab towards all of the complaints about afk-ers during strikes. Edited for typos

Took Bunghole this long to find a conclusion to a glaring problem we've had for over a year? Geez I don't wanna know how they'll 'fix' the other ones in 10 years... In all seriousness though this is a turn in the right direction at least.
-
It'd be foolish to think this will really curb the issue, but I agree it's a step. At least those of us that actually do the strike will be benefitted, even if afk-ers still get normal loot from sitting around with their thumb up their rear.
-
Yeah it won't curb it true, but it'll at least get people to stop warming the bench and expecting handouts. I may not play anymore, and bash the game, but I'm still rooting for some sort of success.
-
I wouldn't call it a jab. At least we'll know who did what now.
-
Yeah. Competition rights when playing with friends, scolding rights when playing with randoms. Haha.
-
Competition is how you get better. Played with some year 1 friends a month back we were evenly skilled in yr1 now they seem like they suck. Me and my buddy i play with all the time compete constantly and pve we are better than 90 percent of the players we play with. Competition is a very reliable way to stand above most others in skill.

Idk, but I really enjoyed CotE's score system, and I think it could spruce up the playlist a bit.
-
I liked that too. But I liked it as it's own mode. Not on every strike I do. I'm not butthurt about this, just not really thrilled is all.

Edited by SilentDave: 12/4/2016 4:59:35 AMI could have sworn a read somewhere earlier that it was actually going to be it's own mode. I'll dig around in my browsing history tomorrow and see if I can find where I think I read that, lol. EDIT: Nope, I was wrong, just introducing strike scoring.
-
As I understand it though, the scoring isn't in the strike so much as in the bounties from zavala, I may have misunderstood that mind you
-
Maybe a toggle? You could get scored no matter what, but you could disable the game ever mentioning it to you?
-
Boom. Problem solved. Haha
