Dude, you were supposed to have the gear you already own in your inventory so the game wouldn't give you dupes. The racing set boxes had smart RNG.
I ended up with all three sets by the end of the event.

And I always did. I cleared out normal non SRL gear so I would have only the racing gear. Tried four times to get the rabbit gear, and I think I got it at the very end.
