It's telling of a developer who releases a broken game to only go back and fix it later. It's just become status quo to expect a broken game at launch and have a working game eight months to a year later. What other industry works by these standards? Do you go to a restaurant pay full price for a meal and then go back eight months later to finish it?

  • Not really, if the devs and publisher feel confident abot releasing an anticipated title in that state it means that it fit their vision. The game wasn't broken it was just that some fans didn't like it, but the devs "fixed" it they so went above and beyond. It's not like any other media gets that treatment. You don't like a movie, book etc. tough shit, it's not gonna change.

  • Ha ha, Bungie did exactly the same but worse. This game is still a beta, the original story was hacked up into pieces and sold to us for £30 a time.....

  • No, Destiny worked at launch. Examples of games not working at launch is The division, battlefield 1, 3, and 4. The division couldn't even load a level without crashing. Battlefield 1 on PC crashes due to a DX error. Battlefield 3 and 4 had horrendous networking issues. But Destiny worked out of the gates. Saying the game is in beta is dubious and so over used. It's a good product and I've been a satisfied customer.

  • Destiny worked at launch because they removed 80% of what was promised , "you see those mountains over there? You can go there" ....sorry you probably don't remember that as you weren't here from launch. Games that try to release on consoles and pcs will always have the issues that you site. A good developer says "well it's all gone to crap, let's try fixing some things"..... Bungie seems happy to keep tapping the wallets of saps with events that give nothing, add nothing to the game and all for the hope you'll buy alpha version next year....
