[b]Keri walked in, clicking her tongue a few times to get the full picture of the place. Maybe it would be really nice. Maybe not. The log exterior wasn't really getting her hopes up.[/b]

[i]Luke quickly joined Keri at her side after closing the door, leaving the cold outside. He grinned as he looked around the place, which was more like an inn because I'm a fan of inns, okay? The interior was.. well, I dunno how to call it. It was nice and warm inside, a large fireplace that spread its heat through the room being at the left wall, a very small amount of people being gathered around it for the warmth. There were round, wooden tables - each with two to four chairs - spread through the establishment, most of which were unoccupied. Straight ahead of the two was the bar/counter, behind which a smiling, balding man stood, an apron covering his white shirt and black pants. [/i]

[b]It was certainly.... Interesting. She'd only seen bright lights and metal... This was very different. A major case of culture shock. It wasn't very bad... She kinda liked it actually.[/b] "Umm... I like the place."

"Well, that's certainly good to hear. I mean, I guess it somewhat works out with you having the cowgirl look and all. Anyway, want to get the menu?" [i]Luke truly was happy she liked it, having been somewhat anxious to see Keri's response to the place. [/i]

"Where are they at? I've haven't eaten anything all day, little hungry."

"On the table. Where do you want to sit? Near the fire place? I'll let you decide. I'm just going to think about what I'll take."

"Yeah... The fireplace sounds nice. Go grab a spot for us, I gotta go do something, alright?" [b]She rushes out, a small beeping coming from the weird screen on her arm.[/b]

"Alright," [i]Luke softly replied, before he moved to a free table with just two seats. He sat down his own chair, which was made from oak wood, like most things in this place. Imagine what a fire would do. [/i]

[b]Keri was gone for a minute, then she walked back in, her smile even brighter. She took a seat beside Lucas, smiling over at him.[/b] "Sorry about that, had to help someone out. He keeps getting himself almost killed."

[i]Luke's own smile brightened as well when Keri walked back in. He wasn't worried that she had left him, because, well, he was too innocent. Too ignorant of the horrors oh the world. Because, well, he never really dated. [/i] "I assume you made it so he didn't get himself killed?" [i]He asked with a soft chuckle, a happy little twinkle in his eyes. [/i] "Aha. Well, that's somewhat odd."

"Yeah. Guy's name is Daniel. I've been taking care of him since he was four. Funny... I haven't aged a day, and he's a grown man now. Makes me feel old. Watched him grow up, then he left when he was eighteen. He said he'd be showing up soon. Hope he hasn't done anything too drastic to himself. Anyways, where are the menus at again?"

"Showing up here soon? Well, alright, then. That'll be interesting, I suppose. And the menu is here, on the table." [i]Luke responded as he tapped on the menu with his right index and middle finger. And, since I'm a lazy shit, the menu just has about everything. [/i]

[b]Keri picks it up, but quickly realizes that she can't read it, so she turns to Lucas.[/b] "I can't read this."

[i]Lucas sorta already expected something like this, as Keri couldn't read braille, and the ordinary letters didn't stick out at all.[/i] "Well, show me the card. I'll read it for you, or I can pick something if you tell me what sort of food you'd like? I don't mind helping you out."

"Uh... I like soups. What kind of stuff do they have over here?"

"Do they have clam chowder? Been a while since I last had it, want to have it again."

"Clam chowder? No idea what that is, but.." [i]His hazel brown eyes quickly started darting over the menu before him, over the soup section, to be exact. [/i] "Yeah. I'll just be taking a cappuccino and a.. hmm. I've no idea what food I want."

"Hm... Well I don't know what they have, so I can't help you out."

"I think I'll go with macaroni and cheese, because that's always tasty, isn't it? Very simple, but tasty. And I sorta don't know what else to pick."

"And it's not like I can help you decide... I don't know what they have. Wait, is someone coming to take our order or do we walk up to the counter?"

"There's a waiter coming over right now," [i]Luke responded, left hand gesturing to said waiter, who was fast approaching the their table. Once he was at the table, he first turned to Keri, and asked that one trademark question,[/i] "What will it be, Miss?"

"Clam chowder, please."

[i]With a nod, the waiter scribbled something down on a notepad, before he turned to Luke with nothing but an expectant look. [/i] "Going simple, macaroni and cheese, please, with a cappuccino." [i]With another nod, the waiter scribbled the order down, before asking to the both of them:[/i] "Will that be all?" "I'd think so," [i]Luke responded as he looked over at Keri. Seemed he was done, but wanted to make sure if Keri wanted anything else. [/i]

"Yes, that will be all." [b]Keri smiled big, she was genuinely very happy.[/b]

[i]And, with yet another nod, the waiter drew a line beneath their order, before heading off to the counter, where he handed the note to the bartender, who then disappeared off to the kitchen. Or however it works. [/i]
