I've watched a number of videos and theories about this. But found that if you had a good team of three and speed run the 320 Strikes, you'd rank up quicker. Plus you get more chances at exotics and now skeleton keys.

If a planet has Taken spawns, there is a chance for an exotic every 10 - 15 minutes while patrolling.

Except if you ready the initial post, you'd see that he's solo running with randoms. So it obviously isn't effective for rep...

But you may also realise I wasn't responding to the OP plus we can all agree that the OP's situation is a very drastic and rare one. So normally 320 strikes would be the norm.
