Which was the reason
I don't want my Melee only character (named 'the champion' i know, how original. He has heavy armour and a mean rectangular greatsword). Who i just pulled out from my chaotic imagination of getting paired with some one underpowered and winning easily or getting paired with some one too powerful and get my ass kicked.
And i realised in my fight with JT that each user has an incredibly different view on how combat should be taken. A universal system perhaps. Or each opponent engaging in a discussion about which system to go with for each unfamiliar user.
Continue in the spoiler...
Realistic and health bars have bad points.
If realistic means that entire fights can end quickly and unfairly by a single move like a mutilation. And with armour it's hard to determine the resilience, Wilson can pretty much take anything rendering small and medium arms useless. Even Lego, swords that don't weigh more than the user basically do almost nothing. (he is a character of Extremes, high resistances and heavy weaknesses.)
Health bars are nigh impossible to determine and basically devolve into a contest of stamina until some one gives up.
But thats been the thing for a while.
