"Sasha, calm down. You're crushing the poor girl." [b]I chuckle, but it sounded hollow and muffled to them because of my helmet.[/b]

[i]Sasha releases her hold and Artemis stumbles back a few steps.[/i] [b]Artemis:[/b] "Thank you, Grant." [b]Sasha:[/b] "Why does no one like my hugs?" [i]Artemis rolls her eyes before facing Grant.[/i] [b]Artemis:[/b] "What brings you here?"

"We came looking for you, kid. We heard you were hurt."

[i]Artemis spun around to show off her cleaned up state and laughed.[/i] "I'm think I'm fine at the moment. Two new friends gave me all of this."

"Who would they be? Same people who kidnapped ya? Well, Sasha says kidnap. I say free."

[i]Sasha snarls at Grant.[/i] [b]Artemis:[/b] "Yeah, Keira and Kara. They gave me this weapon, which I used to fight my father." [i]She pulls the weapon off her back, the sword still in its machete sheath.[/i]

[b]As I was coming down from the Jet and Turbo, I pulled some healing powder out of my coat pocket, and sped over. I began to apply it. There was no time to waste on talk.[/b]

[i]Sasha growled at Grant as she let him heal Artemis. Artemis just sits there almost completely motionless.[/i] "Hurt her and I'll make sure you see your own insides being pulled out."

"What did I tell you earlier, Sasha? I have to heal her. If I hurt her, I'm less scared of you killing me and my two daughters not having enough food to eat." [b]I continue applying the powder, it should heal her up, good as new.[/b]

[i]Some of Artemis' wounds were too deep and others seemed to refuse to heal. Sasha hugged her tightly. Artemis weakly smiled.[/i] [b]Artemis: [/b]"Hey, I didn't die..." [b]Sasha: [/b]"No, but I'm mad you didn't wait for me so I could watch." [i]The two laugh.[/i]

[b]I still continue my treatment. I try and use a stimpack.[/b] "You're damn lucky you didn't get any worse than this, kid. Still, glad you're alive. Would kill me to see ya dead."

[i]The wounds refuse to heal as Sasha shakes her head.[/i] [b]Sasha:[/b] "Grant, some of these cuts must've come from Kaegoth's claymore when he got angry. Only time will heal them." [b]Artemis:[/b] "That's when I decided to leave." [b]Sasha:[/b] "You're lucky he didn't cut any limbs off in that state. How did you even have a weapon capable of stopping his blade?" A friend gave it to me."

"Who gave it to you, Artemis? Was it the same person who... Broke you free, is what I'd guess you'd call it." [b]I apply some anti-microbials and anti-biotics to the wounds. I bandage them up, then just sit beside them. I was damn tired. Needed some rest.[/b]

[i]Artemis nods.[/i] Artemis: "Yeah, I wouldn't word it like that, but yeah. She also gave me the motorcycle." Sasha: "Pfft. I prefer running, right old man?"

"Most of the time, yeah. But I'll be damned if owning a vehicle doesn't sound nice some times. NCR doesn't pay me enough to actually support my family and get one."

"Well... My family... Yeah, I've got two daughters, they're both insane. Had a brother, killed by Legion. Had an actual, biological daughter. Killed by Legion. Had a wife. Killed by Legion. Before that, they were all pretty nice. Daughter was a little hyperactive."

[i]Artemis and Sasha get a little upset.[/i] [b]Sasha:[/b] "I'm sorry to hear that. At least you still have the two insane daughters."

"Yeah, they're my family now, love 'em to bits. Heh. It's kinda funny. Two girls that never knew their parents got a dad within an hour of meetin' him. Anyways, what's your guy's families like? Well, I more meant yours, Sasha. Kinda already know about Artemis'."

[i]Sasha thinks a little before answering.[/i] "Y'know, father and mother died from natural causes a while back. I had an older brother, but he died during a hunt. My younger sister...missing."

"Damn. Got a name or somethin'? I can send out a patrol or two when the brass sends reinforcements."

[i]Sasha just hides her face as she tries to hide her crying. Artemis answers for her.[/i] "She's been missing for years, Grant."

"Doesn't mean you have to stop looking for her. Staff Sergeant Thompson has been missing for twelve years and we still haven't given up."
