New Home, New Life Alpha's and Beta's house, Dojoville outskirts, 3:30 PM Disturbed's "Stricken" could be heard playing on a radio as alpha worked on his sparrowhawk, as was his norm when he was by himself, sweat drenching his fur and mixing with dirt, grime, and oil as he worked on the left turbine, manually installing blades in the rotor, his eyes hidden by tinted goggles that he used to see in the glare of the metal that reflected the light of the sun He stopped after adding the last blade, putting the goggles up right under his horns, so the deep blue-upon-blue of his eyes could be seen, and anyone could see his pupils weren't black, but a deep shade of blue He got off the top of the wing, and stretched his left leg, the prosthetic metal and plastic shining in the light as a blue glow emanated from the ankle and joint ((Open, just come by and admire the jet parked in their backyard))

  • "Mornin' neighbor." The voice came from behind Alpha, and despite the noise coming from the Sparrowhawk, you recognized the voice. Michael Drake has a distinctively charismatic voice, you'd cometo realize. He learned up against a fence post in the yard, sipping on a can of soda (or beer--you couldn't tell), and wearing a fairly tight white T-shirt, in lieu of his signature crimson jacket, forgone in the heat. "You've been doing some work Alpha. That things never looked better."

  • he looked over in surprise "I'll be damned, didn't expect you here!" he got up from his stretch, and walked over

  • "Well, here I am!" Drake spread his arms in a mock shrug, and then crushed the can in his hand, and threw it into a trash can, several meters away. "I needed some time away from Chorus. Sawyer and Winchester are there, but I have a feeling that orchestrating rebellion isn't your cup o' tea. So, I figured that I'd see what you're up to, see what shit you've gotten yourself into."

  • "Got into another fight with those Alliance -blam!-s, but I drove them off, haven't seen 'em since" He shrugged, his mechanical leg whirring as he shifted his weight, horns and fangs glinting in the light as he talked, his blue-upon-blue of his irises and pupils ((for even his pupils were actually a deep shade of blue)) focused on you "But damn I missed you! but Rebellion? Chorus? Hell's goin on with y'all?"

  • "Well, business as usual. Hopefully it'll give us some much needed firepower, instead of empty threats. But look, that's bot why I came here." He reached into his jacket, and pulled out a dull grey sphere. It was intricately designed, all in a shade of industrial grey, with empty, colorless heat-sinks running around the side. He threw it at you, as if the two of you were playing catch, and when you caught it you discovered it to be surprisingly heavy, and strangely warm. "I can't seem to get it to turn on. Don't even know what it is, to be honest. It was given as a gift to me, but if you can make it work, it's yours... whatever it is."

  • he inspected it, tracing a heat sink with a claw "Lotta heat sinks, maybe it works that way?"

He shrugs, "Honestly, I have no clue. Those heat-sinks look old, and kinda ugly if you ask me. My guess is that it needed a lot of power, at least, for back when it was created."

  • He shrugged, and walked back to the sparrowhawk "So I guess I'll just jump start it with my ship?" He worked on opening a panel and hooking up the device "Where'd you get this? I know there's more you're not telling me"

  • Drake shrugs again, "Well, the Queen gave it to me, as a testament to my service." He spoke with a certain amount of spite--he wasn't overly fond of this Queen. "But I couldn't get it to work. Hell, I still don't know what it is." As you hook it up to the Sparrowhawk, the lights go out in the ship's cockpit. The heat-sinks on the orb glow up, as energy courses through it once more.

  • he shrugged, shaking the orb like a snowglobe as he fiddled with it "-blam!- if I know either, but it seems like its working.....I think"

  • He looks at the orb in disappointment, before looking back to you, "Well, I suppose it needs to recharge. Jackass machine."

  • He looked at the cockpit, hearing a faint buzzing as the lights flicker back on "Shit, I forgot the trasnponder was there, it's even in one piece"
