I'm not saying I'm quitting Destiny but I've only logged on once since last Wednesday. Here's my opinion of mistakes Bungie made that reduce longevity of ROI and have given me less incentive to grind than probably any of their other updates:
1) Engrams convert into Year 2 items: They heavily promoted public events dropping legendary engrams. Problem is, they result in Year 2 gear. Bungie attempted to renew interest in Public Events and did the opposite.
2) No update on the Gunsmith: It's now 13 months of the same weapons. I have every god roll that I can possibly want. There's no incentive for me to test or even check new packages. This is probably the single biggest disappointment of ROI for me.
3) Archon's Forge: This is just a light progression tool. It may have a little more longevity the Court of Oryx but they should of had more than just 2 weapons and maybe rotated the drops every month sort of like how every Iron Banner offers 2 different weapons.
4) Queen's Wrath: 3 weeks to rank QW and get a new item? After getting duplicates, I'm done with this activity. Great idea Bungie, but like the Gunsmith, this is a big miss.
5) Festival of the Lost: I can't add anything here that hasn't already been said but it's a contributing factor for me not playing.
