"Looking for somewhere to help you? I m-mean, if you don't mind me being a nerd and me using magic primarily, I can try to help you. Assuming it's something violent. If it's not, then..well, I guess I'm still useful." One thing that was present within Hazel's young, German voice was a tint of self doubt. It was odd, somewhat, considering how much power she had.

  • "Yo, kid, you okay? You sound like you don't think you can do it or something. You don't need to help me. I can find other people. I'm just lookin for my son. Just want to get a lead." Raidriar seemed to get slightly worried. It was usual for people to feel intimidated around him, but not insecure. That was new.

"O-Oh. I mean, if your son had any magical connections or something like that, I could try to help..A-And I want to help, too. I just...I feel as if I could do more. As in, I'm only useful for utility and healing people. Put me in a fight, or against someone with offensive magic? The best I can do is block things, and even then, I'll probably die either from using too much magic or screwing up somewhere." Hazel seemed as if she was about to go on a rant soon about her being completely and utterly useless. Which, in truth, she thought she was. In her mind, she was only a magician who could make people disappear then have to make them reappear, and then heal the wounded just so they could get hurt once more. A low sigh escaped her mouth, her eyes closing slowly.

  • "Hey, hey, hey. Look at me. Look, you're not as bad as you think. I've only just met you, but I can tell you're useful. You helped me dimension-hop for god's sake! That's hard as hell to do! Trust me, I know. I used to be able to do it. Not to mention, you just did it without a second thought? I don't know anyone else who would do that for a total stranger. Listen, I know for a fact that you're useful. Everyone is, in some way."

"You actually think that? ...Thanks. It...It's nice. Getting some support every now and then. Especially the emotional kind." Hazel chuckled slightly, before eventually sighing and calming down. She was, to say the least...better. "Enough sobbing..I guess we've got a new way inside this place. Heh."

  • "Guess we do. Let's head on in. It'd be a shame to keep the good people waiting, wouldn't it?" As Raid turned to walk into the Dojo, Hazel could see his sword. It had the words "For the Judge" engraved into it, and seemed to move around slightly, mostly from left to right.

"...I like the sword. It's...intimidating. To say the least." Hazel was actually somewhat intimidated by the weapon that swayed on Raid's back, and who could blame her? Raid could easily cleave her in half with it. It didn't help that she didn't have any melee weapons of her own. She followed him still, because she figured he would t do such a thing. They were friends. Well, that's what Hazel hoped.

  • "Well, that's a first. Usually people just call it really big, or cool, or somethin like that. Never heard intimidating. And don't worry, long as you stay in my good books, ya won't have to worry about it being used on you." As they walked up to the gate, Raid stopped suddenly. He corked his cider, and put it back in his cloak. He then continued his path, hands at his sides.

"...I'll stay good then." Hazel kept calmly following Raid, seeing as she had nothing better to do. Raid actually seemed...nice. Better than most, really. Her footsteps became lighter and quieter over time, probably due to her getting much more comfortable.

  • They walked through the gates, and Raid just kinda stopped. He didn't really know what to do. He didn't really plan on getting past the gates. They didn't really have a reason to get in. Sure, Raid was great at fighting, but it seemed like everyone is. "So... Uh... What's up first? I didn't exactly have any ideas."

"...I-I mean. I need a weapon...But I don't know what to start out with." Hazel definitely needed a CQC weapon of some kind, considering that she was empty-handed at the moment. "Plus, I'm...well...to say the least, poor. I might be able to afford a straight sword. Might."

  • "Hmm... Well, I don't know where to find one here, but I can lend you one of my old daggers. I always keep one on me." He pulls a dagger from his cloak. It looked to be made of pure platinum, and had a mahogany hilt. Engraved throughout it were carvings of dragons. They twisted, breathed fire, and tangled throughout each other. The blade, in short, was beautiful.

"Oh. Oh my..Thank you. I like it.." Hazel gripped the beautiful danger tightly, her deep green eyes staring into the platinum blade of the weapon, her eyes then trailing towards the decorated hilt. It already seemed as if the cleric considered it a prized object, as if she cared for it already.

  • When she touched the blade, it felt like it connected to her. A slight vibration. A soft humming. Raid nodded, and looked down at the blade. It had disconnected from him, and connected to her. It would keep her safe. He knew it. "What's up next?"

Hazel clutched the weapon ever more calmly and lovingly, her thin fingers wrapping around the hilt of the dagger tightly. She may have actually prized it. "We could always train. Assuming that you don't instantly murder me. I can make people teleport and heal others, I can't revive myself." Hazel chuckled at her joke, in a quite hearty and funny tone. It did seem somewhat humorous; her, fighting against Raid, someone that already seemed experienced in combat.

  • And he damn well was experienced. He'd trained his entire life, back on Prillion, back on Old Earth, back on the Fireteam, back in Gamma Esteria. He had an idea. He perked up. "Hey. I know a way we can train. You use that dagger, I'll just use my fists. Sounds pretty fair, huh?" Raid wasn't so sure it actually was fair, really. He'd probably beat her, even without his massive blade. It'd make him faster, more nimble. And that was a dangerous combination.

"...I guess. Sure." Hazel knew it wasn't exactly the best idea for her to casual accept the dagger vs fist training. She didn't know if she could cut Raid and not feel bad from it, or not panic at the sight of a wound that she herself inflicted. She also feared that Raid would take advantage of her low amount of physical strength and weak mindset, utilizing his own strength and tricks against her. At least, that's what Hazel thought.

  • "You don't sound too sure. Ya don't have to train with me if you don't want to. We could just find something else to do." Raid wasn't the type of person to take advantage of others' weakness. If it wasn't a fair fight, more often than not, he wouldn't do it. He just wanted to see what Hazel had in her, you know? Wanted to see her skill set. He knew she could send people through dimensions, what else could she do?

"No no no! I want to train with you, it's fine! Seriously, I do!" Now Hazel just sounded over-excited, as she almost began to hope up and down. She seemed to have a massive mood change, going from quiet and peaceful to loud and not exactly peaceful. Still, the self-doubt remained in her voice, no matter how hard she tried to be rid of it.

  • "Cool. Let's just go to the middle of the courtyard for this. I've heard it's what others do." He walks over to the middle of the courtyard, and stops. He liked the girl's sudden mood change. Reminded him of himself, really. Just a random massive mood swing. That used to happen to him a lot, but they were... Violent, to say the least. He got in a readied stance, and waited for her. "You get first move."

Hazel nodded silently, following Raid all the way to the location and stopping when she was across from him. Planting her feet upon the ground, the girl then held out the gifted dagger to her side before beginning to approach, while she kept her left hand completely free. Perhaps it was a way for her to cast magic. As she got close enough, Hazel suddenly swiped toward's Raid's chest, although it wasn't close enough to actually do damage. The worst it would do was slice his skin open a little, plus considering that Raid could always catch her hand.

  • Except, he didn't exactly have to. There was a blood red armor under the cloak, he wore it literally everywhere. The dagger bounced off of the armor, rattling her arm a little. Raid spoke. "Find a weakness! Exploit it! Remember, I'll be fine! Don't bother being scared of hurting me!" Raid runs up to her quickly, and tries to punch her in the stomach.

Hazel's eyes widened for a moment, before she suddenly raised out her left arm and aimed it towards Raid's chest in a hurry. Although Raid's punch did interfere and pushed her back, what she intended to pull off did actually work; for a burst of white energy suddenly pushed against Raid, attempting to push him off with a considerable amount of force as Hazel reeled back from the punch.

  • It did indeed blow him back, but only by couple yards. It tripped him up when he came to the last inch, but he quickly got back up, flipping upwards from his back to his feet. He then decided to use a little bit of his own magic, nothing that would actually hurt her, just slow her down. Raid raised his hand up to his face, and muttered a few words as he clenched the hand into a fist. Hazel began to feel more sluggish, a little fatigued. Raid has slowed the flow of her blood, not enough to do any actual damage, but enough to slow her down. He felt his power from the Hellwind drain...
That last sentence is more for me so I can total how many nodes he uses.
"Wh-Wha.." Hazel definitely felt much more sluggish, her left hand resting upon her stomach where Raid had punched her. It didn't hurt her, of course, she just wasn't used to pain at all. She figured it was some sort of magic. She was impressed, to say the least. And this was when Raid wasn't even trying. The cleric began to circle Raid, twirling her dagger slightly as she waited for Raid to attack first.

  • Raid smiled behind his mask. Her confusion amused him, it was like a cat playing with a mouse at this point. Unless she used some tricks of her own, this little training session might end a little badly for her. No serious injuries, of course, but a busted lip and some bruises always hurt. He charged again, this time going for a right hook to her jaw.
