A new arrival. A red one. A man approached, cloaked in red. He had a large, crimson cloak covering his armor under it, which was also red. He wore a red scarf, red boots, red everything. He even had a red, cat-like mask, covering his face. He'd been many places, had always meant to come here. He had a 12'6" blade on his back, but it didn't look huge compared to him, for he was 8'9". He knocked loudly on the gates, saying nothing.

One thing that the man may have noticed was the woman that stood outside of the Dojo, her back leaning against the stone wall as she quietly hummed a classical song, which sounded peculiarly like "Ride of the Valkyries". Her face was angular and young, which high cheekbones and dark, intelligent green eyes, complemented with pale skin. The light brown hair that the woman had was tied back in a long ponytail, while she bore a tight grey robe. She had no weapons on her, although she had a large satchel that hung at her side. The woman looked up towards the approaching man, only waving at him silently.

  • The man walked over to her, thinking that maybe she knew a way in. He got over to her, and then stopped suddenly. He had forgotten to wave back. He gave her a small wave, and then continued his approach. "Hey, do you know any way in? I've been standing at these gates for a little bit, and need to know if there's another way in."

"Mm. I could make another way in. Or at least, try." One thing that was noticeable was the tint of a German accent within the woman's young voice, and the strong magical anomaly that was within her. "Hmm...Aha. Question; are you fine with being sent into an alternate dimension, then being immediately pulled out into a different location through a tear in said alternate dimension? In short, teleportation. Unless you would like to bust the gate down, I'm completely fine with that too."

  • "Alternate dimensions? Damn, haven't dimension hopped in a few months. Screw it, I'm down. Just tell me when you're about to do it." It'd been back during his days on old Earth since he'd actually hopped dimensions. That's a different story for a different day, though. Raid was ready to hop across realities.

"Okay... Also, I might suffer a little from doing this...I haven't done this too much.." The woman sighed, before suddenly raising both of her hands and aiming them towards Raid. Suddenly, Raid was then pulled into something else in a literal instant. The man found himself souring through a much different dimension. Bright, beautiful, and quite odd. It seemed as if he was plummeting into a sea of pure gold, except the liquid wasn't gold - it was something that held power, oddly enough. Before Raid could slam into the liquid, he was suddenly torn out, and reappeared within the Dojo, right beside the gate. The sound of someone falling over and a female groaning could be heard after Raid appeared. It was most likely the woman that pulled him into the alternate dimension, then out of it.

  • Raid was out of it for a second. He'd never seen that type of dimension-jumping before. He'd done his mind back when he was a part of Fireteam November, but his was a simple blackness then he was where he wanted to be. He couldn't do that anymore, however. Ever since he'd left Gamma Esteria he'd been a different Mage than what was required to dimension-jump. He quickly came to his senses, and ran to the main gate. He undid the latch on the giant, wooden gates, and kicked them open. He ran over to where the woman had fallen, for he knew she had. He shook her slightly by the shoulder. "You still alive?"

The woman had begun to cough up blood, due to how much energy she had used just to pull that off. However, she rose up after a bit, having to lean against the wall in order to stabilize herself. "...I..think I'm alright..Probably just some blood, nothing..too bad. Y'know, I...I don't really even know your name yet. Funny, since...well, I just sorta pushed you into an arcane realm, and then out of it.."

  • "Lady, before we do introductions, I gotta make sure you're okay. Ya helped me out, gotta return the favor." He reaches into his cloak, and pulls out a beige flask. It is simple, looking like a circle with a cork in it. He uncorks the flask, and hands it to her. "Drink up."

"Oh...Thanks, I..I guess.." The woman grasped the flash with both hands, taking a moment to collect herself. After said moment, she sipped a little bit of the liquid inside. She didn't know what it was, but...it was worth seeing.

  • It was... Apple cider. It was damn good apple cider. It felt like her insides were swishing around inside of her for a second, then she just simply felt better. She felt like she did before she transported Raidriar. Raidriar was smiling behind his mask, waiting to see her reaction.

The woman definitely felt better, although she didn't take another swig of the drink. She didn't want to drink it all pointlessly, it wasn't her style. "Oh. Oh, wow..that feels a lot better. So...thanks. It's new, seeing people help the unsung hero out a little."

"Hazel.. W-Well, my real name is Laura Angelica Hazelwood, but I personally favor Hazel. I just sorta do, don't really know why." Hazel chuckled a little to herself, happy that she had met someone new. Someone that, to her, seemed like a good person.

  • "You've got a long name. Haven't heard somethin that long since my time back on Prillion. Before ya say anything about that, do me a favor and don't ask about Prillion, would ya? Touchy subject to say the least. Anyways, why are ya here, Hazel? Haven't seen anyone quite like ya around here." Raid crossed his arms, not impatiently, it was more like it was something he was used to doing during conversations.

"Okay, okay. No Prillion. Perfectly fine with that. As for why I'm here. Heard about some famous fighters or, well...something of the sort. Big-time combatants. Thought I'd...Y'know...try to show them what I had. I'm a mage, if you couldn't tell already. A cleric. Why are you here, I wonder? You don't have to tell me if you don't want to."

  • "Looking for an old friend or two. That, and I've been looking to visit for a while, same reason as you. Also, I've been looking for someone to help me a little bit." Raid takes another flask of cider out of his coat. He takes a sip. "Goddamn delicious stuff, ain't it? Don't know where it comes from, but I get as much as I want."

"Looking for somewhere to help you? I m-mean, if you don't mind me being a nerd and me using magic primarily, I can try to help you. Assuming it's something violent. If it's not, then..well, I guess I'm still useful." One thing that was present within Hazel's young, German voice was a tint of self doubt. It was odd, somewhat, considering how much power she had.

  • "Yo, kid, you okay? You sound like you don't think you can do it or something. You don't need to help me. I can find other people. I'm just lookin for my son. Just want to get a lead." Raidriar seemed to get slightly worried. It was usual for people to feel intimidated around him, but not insecure. That was new.

"O-Oh. I mean, if your son had any magical connections or something like that, I could try to help..A-And I want to help, too. I just...I feel as if I could do more. As in, I'm only useful for utility and healing people. Put me in a fight, or against someone with offensive magic? The best I can do is block things, and even then, I'll probably die either from using too much magic or screwing up somewhere." Hazel seemed as if she was about to go on a rant soon about her being completely and utterly useless. Which, in truth, she thought she was. In her mind, she was only a magician who could make people disappear then have to make them reappear, and then heal the wounded just so they could get hurt once more. A low sigh escaped her mouth, her eyes closing slowly.

  • "Hey, hey, hey. Look at me. Look, you're not as bad as you think. I've only just met you, but I can tell you're useful. You helped me dimension-hop for god's sake! That's hard as hell to do! Trust me, I know. I used to be able to do it. Not to mention, you just did it without a second thought? I don't know anyone else who would do that for a total stranger. Listen, I know for a fact that you're useful. Everyone is, in some way."

"You actually think that? ...Thanks. It...It's nice. Getting some support every now and then. Especially the emotional kind." Hazel chuckled slightly, before eventually sighing and calming down. She was, to say the least...better. "Enough sobbing..I guess we've got a new way inside this place. Heh."

  • "Guess we do. Let's head on in. It'd be a shame to keep the good people waiting, wouldn't it?" As Raid turned to walk into the Dojo, Hazel could see his sword. It had the words "For the Judge" engraved into it, and seemed to move around slightly, mostly from left to right.

"...I like the sword. It's...intimidating. To say the least." Hazel was actually somewhat intimidated by the weapon that swayed on Raid's back, and who could blame her? Raid could easily cleave her in half with it. It didn't help that she didn't have any melee weapons of her own. She followed him still, because she figured he would t do such a thing. They were friends. Well, that's what Hazel hoped.

  • "Well, that's a first. Usually people just call it really big, or cool, or somethin like that. Never heard intimidating. And don't worry, long as you stay in my good books, ya won't have to worry about it being used on you." As they walked up to the gate, Raid stopped suddenly. He corked his cider, and put it back in his cloak. He then continued his path, hands at his sides.

"...I'll stay good then." Hazel kept calmly following Raid, seeing as she had nothing better to do. Raid actually seemed...nice. Better than most, really. Her footsteps became lighter and quieter over time, probably due to her getting much more comfortable.
