About two barrels before the end, JJ pops up from behind the barrels, with his shield up. He charges the first thug as fast as he can, bashing his gun in an attempt to disarm him. He then does a short spin, and inaccurately throws his sword at the second thug. He just needs a moment of respite while fighting the first.
