Been at home. On vacation, Clarkson gave me a month off-duty, spent some time at home, did a whole lot of nothing. Been pretty bland, honestly. he replied.

  • "It's because I wasn't there to show you how to have a good time with your days off." She says with a grin. In truth, she only had a bare understanding of having fun herself, she'd spent her whole life killing people. They started to get closer to the Dojo gates, only a few hundred yards away at this point.

  • You're not wrong. Kinda was wondering where you'd gotten off to. he said. Continuing to walk towards the gates, he observed the new structure, looking quite different from the older one which he had seen before.

  • "Like I said, went back home and took care of some things. Now it's not such a hellhole." She says with a half smile, as they approached the gates. What Wolfe couldn't see were the keepsakes her body had attained from her little venture, but he didn't need to know.

  • And he wouldn't ask. Although the two men that were his largest influence were killers, by no means were they without class and respect for women. Jackson said nothing, by this point knowing what a half-smile from her meant. He would push the subject no further, unless she opened up for him. F*ck! I love hellholes, especially the ones full of guns, drugs, and liquor! Wilson shouted.

  • "That's what Angel City used to be. You'd fit right in Wilson." She says with a laugh, walking into and through the Dojo complex. Turning down some hallways, they came to a door, which Riley opened. Inside, was something not exactly fitting of Riley. It was disorganized, in almost a neat way. The walls were purple, pink, green, and blue, one for each wall. A four poster bed took up one corner, with a black comforter and pillows. Clothes littered the bed, from shirts to shorts to bras, modesty was apparently lost on Riley. Water bottles took up a night stand, all empty but cluttered on the table top. Riley scratched the back of her neck with a slight smile and a sheepish look. It was nothing like the penthouse in Angel City, and Riley didn't seem like the disorganized type.

  • This isn't you. was the first thing Jackson said, taking off his helmet and mask. He ran a hand through his hair and clipped the helmet onto his waist to his right. Wilson, on the other hand, had put a bra on his head, and was busy being an idiot. Jackson shot him a look that could kill, but Wilson seemed to not care. I never saw you as this kind of person, this is a far cry from the penthouse. Inside, he felt perhaps this was her rebelling against the old to be her own individual, and it made him happy to see her at ease. At the same time, however, it was mildly awkward being in there, and Wilson wasn't making it any easier.

  • Riley shot Wilson a glare but eventually broke and laughed at him. She glanced at Jackson and rested a hand on his shoulder. "Come on, never seen bras before Jackson?" She says with a grin, but nods her head. "Yeah, it is. Because Kyr owned that penthouse, and she was like a porcelain doll, and not just her appearance. Everything was immaculate and perfect, And she tolerated nothing less. I don't have to do that anymore." She says with a shrug, picking up some clothes and putting them in a hamper, along with the water bottles in a trash can.

  • Well at least now I can see the real you. Lot nicer than the clean-cut perfection. We weren't made to be perfect. Besides, between the three of us, I think we've got enough mental scars to scare the therapist. he said with a smile. Dude I'm f*ckin' fine... Wilson replied, now a pair of underwear on his minigun. You're wearing a bra on your head and have a pair of underwear on your gun. That's not normal. F*CK YOUR NORMAL!

"You got that right.." She says and laughs, turning to Wilson. "Wilson, go find a hookers panties to wear on your gun." She walks over and plucks the undergarments off of Wilson and his gun, tossing them in the hamper with the rest of the clothing, the room now semi-neat.

  • I'd say something perverted but, uh, yeah, the two of you I ain't gonna mess with. Lovebirds are nasty fighters. clearly he was smiling widely beneath his helmet. Jackson had a look of mild agitation towards Wilson, but he did not say anything.

  • Riley chuckles at Jackson's face, striding over to one of the walls that was most free and pressed on it, her hand depressing a small square in it. The drywall clicks and slides apart, so show an armor rack. An armor rack that was currently occupied. It was overall good looking and sleek, some black, grey, and orange-red. Certain cables twirled around the arms, and the helmet was an odd shape with multiple flat faces. The breastplate had two symbols on them, while the whole thing looked suspiciously like it was made of the materials Lance's armor was. Seemed like she'd taken another page out of his book. "Voíla." She says, grinning.

  • Wolfe stood up, raising an eyebrow and walking over to see it. Who's tech? Certainly not Schrader's. Custom build by Lance? he said, looking it over carefully. Wilson approached, and sighed, looking it over quickly. Ain't good to have cables out in the open. Easy to sever, easy to f*ck you up.

  • "Those are special Wilson." Riley says with a grin, shaking her head. "I used some of the specs from Lance's armor, but all the work was mine." She says proudly. It'd only taken some hints and pointers from an old friend, but she'd built her own armor by herself.

  • Never knew you were a mechanic. Jackson said, amazed that she'd never told him. Needs some work, kid. Wilson said. I've been building gear for a long time, and believe me, it needs work. What's she rated for in terms of ballistics?

  • "I'm not, but when your well being depends on the grade of your equipment, a few months is enough time to learn." She glances at Wilson, motioning back to the armor. "Can take an 88mm shell, there's a noise dampening package, cloaking tech, thermal and infared, mag-locks, the works."

  • Bleh... that weak stealth sh*t... Wilson seemed uninterested. Jackson on the other hand, was impressed. Glad to know you're a little bit more concerned about your own safety. Gear makes all the difference.

  • She smirks at Jackson as if to say, "of course." Looking back at Wilson. "And what recommendations do you have Mr. Wilson? I'm open to critiques and help."

  • Put a f*ckin' machine gun on it, for starters. Second off, again, the cables. Ain't good to have shit out in the open. How reinforced are the joints? he replied, speaking fairly intelligently.

  • "Ok fine..I can reroute the cables through the arms and into the palms.." She says thoughtfully. The cables were thick steel, no visible electronic wires showing, but just steel. She looks at Wilson, scratching the back of her head. "Maybe half as much as the rest of it. As for the machine gun, doesn't fit my style. Too bulky."

  • With the joints, be sure that you can protect yourself from knives and blades. Many a time have I jammed a machete into the joints of a man's armor and killed him. They only reason I'm b*tchin' 'bout the cables is because of all the energy weaponry people have. It can really mess your day up. That's why I kept the Tesla shielding and added Schrader's tytritium shielding systems on top of that. Wilson replied. He's right. Positioning is key, you've got to protect your weaker spots. Any onboard weaponry or just tech? Wolfe said.

  • "No, not much weaponry. I was kinda hoping big guy could help me out." She says with a smile, gesturing towards Wilson.

  • You're in luck, Smurfette. When Schrader fell, I salvaged a bunch of gear and tech and sh*t, so I have a massive collection of this stuff laying around and plenty of tools to install it with. I just need your wishlist. Wilson answered proudly.

  • "Gauntlet blades, something for dealing with heavy armor, shock gauntlet, grappling lines, propulsion in the boots, some kind of shielding.." She ticked the items off on her fingers with amusement. This was gonna be fun.

  • Gauntlet blades I can do easily, and if I can get the hydraulics rigged right, you'll be able to rip into most armor with them. Heavier stuff, I suggest using an AT sabot, basically a small version of an anti-tank rifle in either a gauntlet or shoulder. I can rig ya a gauntlet with enough energy to fry a set of armor and a tytritium shielding system. Wilson replied.

  • Riley nods thoughtfully and grins at Wilson. "Sounds awesome Wilson. I appreciate it. What do I owe you?" Even if Wilson was her friend, she grew up where nothing was free. It was only habit to ask what he wanted in return.
