All Nightmare Long Luck Runs Out Crawl from the wreckage one more time Horrific memory twists the mind Dark, rutted, cold and hard to turn Path of destruction, feel it burn Still life Incarnation Still life Infamy Deep in the Forest, Two Miles from the Dojo Gates The sound was deafening, the flash intense. Trees around the site were blown back, charred, and then the silence set in. From out of the shallow crater, a single figure walked forwards, and then came the second blast. A bang, a flash again, and a second, more bulky figure walked forwards. Walking forwards and out of the crater, the two figures were obscured in the darkness of night. Both were cloaked, the first first bearing a hood to his, his body completely covered. The second bore a long cape-like cloak, tattered and torn. As they walked away from the blast site, the eyes of each of their helmets lit up, the bulkier figure's a hellish orange, the slimmer figure's a cold blue. Together they walked forth from the blast, off into the cold night, snow falling all around them.
Open
The silhouette of a sleek ship flies over the two figures, soon followed by a loud thud. A tall, somewhat bulky figure stands a few meters away from them. The only thing that sticks out is the red lightning fluctuating around the body, creating faint zips and zaps as it flows fluently around the armor. When the figure speaks his voice is deep, with a soft metallic ring; though when he speaks, most emotion seems to be gone. “Ah, it's my favorite dynamic duo.” He lets out a small chuckle. “What brings you two back here?”
Haven't talked in a while.
• I f*cked up a teleport and here I am... The bulkier figure said with a laugh. The other figure did nothing, silent, not entirely recognizing the man who had approached.

He cracks a half smile. "Ah. Well I hope you guys can make it back to the Dojo. Oh, names Kent by the way, I'm assuming that you don't remember me." He extends his hand for a more formal greeting, not expecting either of them to do anything.

  • I know you, but I ain't sure if Wolfie remembers you. Wasn't around that much in our day. Wilson said, chuckling. Wolfe, however, responded with a handshake, not willing to be rude. I believe you knew my father. he said tersely.

  • A few late winter birds chirped and a small fawn dashed away at the newcomers as a shrill wind carried small flakes of snow across their vision. The surrounding trees had been toppled, but among such there was the soft crunch of snow under light feet. The initial approach was quiet, only an adept tracker might have heard it, but as it got closer, it became clearer to normal hearing range. It wasn't an animal... No... One two, one two. Rhythmic steps that only a human could produce. Then, something in a far off tree. A glint of blue, a dazzle of red, and then it was gone... Like a rainbow phantom. Then, almost hidden in the falling white, a small origami butterfly fluttered close, as if alive, landing on a small piece of broken wood, seemingly watching the pair... No doubt, they had a new watcher.

  • The hulking figure rapidly shifted his stance, the mounted weapon on his shoulder swinging down, bright arcs of energy jumping across his armor. The second figure disappeared rapidly, and both began to scan the area with their HUDs. Equipped with advanced technology, they currently utilized both a heartbeat sensor and a FLIR optic to locate this newcomer. The juggernaut approached the small butterfly, gazing at it almost interestedly. Butterflies weren't known for being out this time of year, particularly in this climate.

The paper insect lay still for a moment before unfolding, paper folds moving and contouring until it had turned into thin and tiny gnat like creatures... Only for the swarm to disappear into the drifting snow. They'd be near impossible to trace because of their likeness to the falling flakes... But... Their new observer wasn't trying very hard to stay hidden. Her head peered out slightly from behind a distant tree, her vision well balanced from this height and angle. Besides, the snow was her element... Sorta. One eye red... The other blue... Dressed in a floral dress/skirt combo, with a hood with bouncy animal ear like protrusions up top. Then of course her body covered in cloth wrappings that hid her face, and were the only covers on her feet and hands... And the black and white floral scarf... All nice touches. But then things got interesting. Heart beat sensor would reveal an irregular heartbeat, one reading three time faster than normal... And she gave off the heat signature of a small furnace, given she was just 5'4... Wielding a machine gun two thirds her size... One with a long barrel, wheel clip, and dark and light blue flames licking out from tiny cooling slits... If anything, she wasn't trying to be stealthy, but her strange behavior and curiosity mimicked that of a small frightened animal, merely keeping fair distance from a predator... Any tracking equipment, or right glance in the right direction would give her away in seconds.
https://i.imgur.com/ZVHXZSm https://i.imgur.com/MG7ep4f
• They found this individual rapidly, their tracking systems immediately locking on. The details were quite strange, but not out of the ordinary for these two, who were often in connection with strange entities. The behemoth's minigun swung back upwards into a safe position, and he approached calmly. Close to her, the other figure appeared out of thin air, body forming out of what was seemingly nothing. He spoke first, voice sounding metallic through his mask, but relatively kind. Hello there... don't you think it's a bit cold for merely wrappings on your hands and feet?

  • The small, distinctly female figure looked down at her small feet, wiggling her toes slightly. Then... She shook her head, motioning slightly to her large gun which still gave off light blue flames, the smell of kerosine and thermite escaping the barrel as a long dragon tongue of flame burst forth momentarily. She clearly wasn't a very big talker, it a quick few hand motions later and her nature became apparent... Sign language. The first few signs spelled out a greeting, the next some strange... Word... Perhaps a name. L. A... N... And what seemed to be another A.

  • She shook her head, her near silence breathtaking more than anything. There was something in the way she carried herself... Her fragile and small disposition, hiding something that seemed so overwhelming... Certainly not in power... But perhaps in... Personality? She pointed towards the large crater the duo left before tilting her head, as if to ask what just happened?

  • She nodded slowly, despite not understanding what he meant... Better not to get some science lecture. Her eye flitted back and forth from the two, before pointing off towards the Dojo, as if to ask if that was their destination.

  • A smile crept from her mask, barely visible under the cloth as she swiveled down from the tree and landed into the pale snow with a crunch. "Best of luck..." She mused, her voice soft and lyrical, almost like a hymn from old religious texts that held some kind of authority... And with that, she trotted away, the ears on the hood of her cloak bouncing ever so slightly.

  • The larger figure laughed pretty hard, looking at the hammer, clearly not concerned. All you gotta do is ask... Pullin' a hammer on people ain't a smart idea, especially not on me. The other soldier stood silent, seeming to also be not concerned about a hammer.

  •
I changed both up a bit. JT's a bit more grizzled and kind, Treyman's a young loose cannon.
Blades whirring in the distance, a helicopter could be seen just over the horizon as the silver transport bird calmly faded into sight of the pair of figures, though it was just one simple shade - Silver, no markings but a faded red stripe and a plethora of bullet holes riddling the sides, which in turn allowed the sounds of The Rolling Stones' "Gimme Shelter" to pour out of them, fairly loudly at that but not insanely so, just enough to be heard when the helicopter flew directly overhead. But it was slow, almost as if the thing was flying gently overhead and the search for... Something, was afoot.
