Repose Outside Alpha's sparrowhawk, 1930 hours Crack!..........Crack!........Crack! The sound of an axe emanated from where alpha had set up camp next to his sparrowhawk, an axe cutting into wood more specifically, as alpha split wood alone, a small fire burning next to the craft, illuminating the darkening area those who saw him noted that ever since his encounter with silver, his horns had grown till they were each a foot long, arching down behind his head, and his eyes........his eyes were quite fearsome to behold, since the whites had turned pitch black, and the irises and pupils had been replaced with a white glowing slit, which apparently served the same function, as the darted from place to place as he worked he stopped after he had split some logs, and placed them by the firepit he had constructed, sitting down next to it and poking the already-burning logs with an iron poker made from the remnants of one of the pieces of debris that the small craft had left behind he put the poker down and sighed, wiping off the front of his black t-shirt ((which had a delta rune emblazoned on the front)) and then dusting off his jeans, the claws on his hands making scuffing noises as they brushed across the denim ((open))

 • As Alpha sat on the log and huddled by the fire, the only sounds that could be heard for miles was the hypnotic screeches of cicadas, the crackling of the hearth burning before him and wolves howling in the far distance. Yet sitting on a log adjacent to him, there glowed another fire, rich smoke swirling from its burning surface. Ash crumbled from it and fell to the floor, two light blue eyes, one ripped into faintly illuminated by the moonlight. "Nice night, eh?" A voice proclaimed with slow drawl next to Alpha.

 • "Indeed" he yawned, fangs gleaming in the dim light, and looked over at the voice's owner, hoping that he wasn't mislead in its identity

 • "You could've gotten yourself killed out there. That was a big risk, takin' on Silver and the Guards at once. You're luckier than you'd think." A woman's voice was heard behind you, startling you slightly, for you hadn't realized that she was there. Her voice was soft, and it lilted slightly, yet still sounded youthful, with perhaps the lightest touch of a British accent. She sounded a little bit sultry, almost morose, for whatever reason. Her pale blue eyes reflected a bit of that sadness, yet there was a conflict of emotion going on there as well, a struggle of thoughts and morals. Other than those passing observations, the woman was striking. Short white hair accentuated an angular, heart-shaped face, with the barest hint of a smirk touching her lips. She didn't wear much clothing, admittedly, but there was a slim exoskeleton fitted over her light clothing. A massive sniper rifle was slung over her back, held in place by a bandoleer slung over her right shoulder, marked with the inscription Galahad Industries. "Of course, luck is one way to put it. I suppose it's the first time I've ever been a welcome sight in a long while."

 • "Heh, you probably saved my damn life, thanks" he nodded to you, pulled up his knees, and sat like that huddled, facing the fire and going silent for a while he spoke up "So, who are you?"

 • "Celina. Celina Drake." Though she normally went by the surname Galahad, which was her father's, she decided that the name of her onetime husband would make a larger impact on the young teen. Nonchalantly she moved forwards towards your ship, running a hand along the side as she inspects your progress, "You did a good job outfitting this ship. The Sparrowhawk's a real beauty, ain't it? My father designed it with atmospheric superiority in mind, but you seem to have made it into a quite an effective starfighter." Still, your mind reeled from the implications. Drake had never spoken very much about his wife, but you knew that she was important to him... And that she had died years ago.

 • "D-drake? Wait........doesn't that mean......?" he sputtered out, shaking his head to clear it just in case he had heard wrong, and that was quite the comical sight, his ears flopping about everywhere until he stopped moving his head, at which point they rested on his shoulders "......heh, forgot we all never talked family....."

 • She makes a small gesture of acknowledgement with her head, as she backs away from the ship to look at you again. "I suppose he wouldn't have much reason to talk about me much. I've been hearing of your exploits Alpha, and I must say, I would've expected nothing less from someone as charismatically stupid as my husband. But... Has he moved on? Did he remarry?" She sounded small, a little bit concerned.

 • "No, not that I know of" he felt it wise to remain silent about drake's other habit, and spare the man any grief "You sound worried, heh, maybe if you told him you existed still...." he said quietly, looking back at the fire, but you could hear the barb in his otherwise soft and regal yet boyish voice

 • In an instant a blade was at your throat, hovering there from where it was situated on her wrist. What you had identified as conflict in her eyes was even more apparent now, as they sparkled with years' worth of anger and resentment, and her face was contorted in a half-snarl. The sudden change of emotion was jarring, but when she spoke she did so calmly and deliberately, "You don't think that he knew I was alive? You're more naive than I thought." The blade lowered, and her angry composure faded away. She seemed the slightest bit irritable still, but she had largely returned to her former temperament, almost sounding sheepish. "I'm... Sorry. I...-I kinda lost my temper."

 • ".....hmph" he didn't seem to care about the blade at his throat, seemed to sorta come with the fact that he'd developed a fatalistic depression and well.......he was batshit durable now, the blade had wavered as it hovered over his throat "Lose your temper, go ahead...." his voice had hardened at her comment about his naivity, and he looked at the fire studiously and ignored you, those glowing eyes dimming with.....something you guessed were tears

 • She grits her teeth and sighs, rolling her eyes slightly. Still, she went over Alpha and sat down next to him, putting a hand on his shoulder as she looked up at the starry sky above them. "Don't worry about it kid. Life's a hard mistress, but she's the best teacher a woma-a ma-... You can ask for." She gives a shy smile of reassurance, and then gets back up, stretching her arms and legs, as if she were preparing for a run, almost. You still weren't sure entirely what to think of her, but she seemed kind enough--when she wasn't threatening you, that is. "I can stay out of your fur, if you'd like. I'm sorry to interrupt your hard work like that, by the way, but I figured that you'd want a formal introduction after that fiasco in the courtyard."

 • "Formal, casual, hell, It's better than nothing" he sighed "Dammit why'd he even decide on the Hermes in the first place?"

 • She unslung her rifle from her back, dropping it into her arms. Almost childishly so, she took aim at an imaginary target, perhaps as a distraction, and then began adjusting a knob on the scope. "The Hermes was a good a target as any. Poorly defended, high-value, and loaded with credits. If he hadn't done it, I wouldn't have been surprised if someone else did." She slings the rifle over her back again, and turns to face you, "And there are few people more deserving of being robbed and murdered than NTR Marines."

 • "Story time ain't happening kid. That's for another time. It's time for you to share a little bit about yourself now." She stops looking so distracted now, focusing on you. "Why are you after those soldiers? Phoenix and Silver?"

 • "They're with the alliance, a faction that had proven itself time and time again a threat to me and the crew's safety They specifically had chased me across the galaxy even as I bled in that sparrowhawk right there, and would have continued to do so no matter where I went"

 • "So they're hunters, not soldiers? I can see why you'd hate them as you do. Maybe I was wrong for stopping you in the courtyard, but I didn't want you to end him that way, to see you consumed by the same rage that consumed me, and even my husband."

 • "maybe you're right, but maybe it's too late for me, hell you can even see it in my body" he motioned to his lengthened horns and now-glowing eyes and even smaller changes, like flecks of black in the white of his fur, especially around his neck, the black arranging itself into hazy patterns that slowly seemed to sharpen as time went on "Heh, maybe I should've let them kill me, who's to say they won't come back and kill me or worse, kill anyone I might come to care for?"

 • he looks over at you, the fire illuminating his sillouette "Howdy" you notice he wasn't wearing his shoes, nor his gloves or cloak, and his saber and dagger were inside the ship probably, as were his hidden blades and pistols the fire reflected off his now lengthened horns and fangs, and he looked up at you "so what're you doing?"
