And there she was. Yet again. She had stood at that same spot for hours. Ry was a patient woman, but a scared one. Scared all the time of everyone, scared they would hit her, scared they would mock her, scared they would burn her. Nevertheless, she stood diligently in the Dojo's first courtyard, waiting for nothing. Perhaps she was waiting for them to come and attack, as they always did. Perhaps she was waiting for her mother and father, who would never come. She knew that, and Ly knew that. They knew no one would come. They were safe now. Ry thought it, at least. Her and her brother could finally live in peace, away from the people who wished to hurt her. So, there she stood, in her orange winter coat, which had many, intricate designs of fire lining it. She looked down at her heavy, winter pants, same color, same design. Her boots were a little different, at least. Same color, no design. She held her hands up to the sky, admiring them, in their well-craftedness. They were given to her by her mother, as she had given Ly his. She let her hands go limp at her sides again, having tried to forget their mother long ago. Years, it seemed. Her hood was pulled up over her purple hair, the pink skin was easier to explain. Orange ski goggles also covered part of her face, that of her eyes. Yellow eyes tended to pop out, were noticeable. And the last thing she wanted was to be noticed. If a passerby would pay attention, they could hear a soft sizzling. That was her skin being burned by the plasma armor under her robes, which were under her coat. The plasma burned, but the burn felt nice, a sign that the Sun watched over her. Still, she stood there, waiting. Hoping.
Open.
• "I dunno...." The thing about Ly was, he was extremely cautious and paranoid. He trusted Tatakai about as much as he trusted waffles not to be eaten, not that he'd ever seen a waffle before in his life. Sighing, he tried to look at the situation from Ry's perspective. "I mean... settling down would be nice, but I have a feeling that the red skins have found a way to track us... they could have already started their way here. It's a long distance, tens of lightyears, but even then... d'you think this dojo can survive an entire fleet of the Solarian Space Force? And then there's the fact that so many of them are immortal gods that could easily kill us...."

 • She turned to him, and walked over. She lays hand on his shoulder. She would be the one to reassure this time. "If the reds catch up to us, we'll be ready. We have to reinforce the defenses at the ship. We'll barricade the entrances if we have to. As long as we don't make any enemies, we'll be fine. Look at me, Ly. In the eyes. Take your goggles off. Would I not be sure about this? I've researched this place as much as I have any other. Would you rather be on the run the rest of your life, and die of old age in a dusty, empty cruiser? I know I wouldn't." She slid her goggles down, exposing her striking, yellow eyes. Her eyes were firm, like their mother's when she had told them to escape all those years ago.

 • Ly lifted his own goggles to his forehead, his orange eyes gazing into her sister's. His eyes were full of uncertainty and fear, but he was willing to do anything for his sister; and that included staying on a planet where everything was new and alien. "... the cruiser has a buffet," He said, chuckling slightly, but Ry knew that she had easily won him over. They would stay.

 • Ry let a soft smile slip, a rare occurrence. She was never one to smile like that, out of literal joy and love for her brother. She was actually happy for once in months. Ever since she'd seen his more bloodthirsty side a few months back... Well... Things weren't the same. Nevertheless, she was happy he was on board. "Just so you know, we're still sleeping in the ship. I'll grant you that much comfort in familiarity."

 • Ly sighed with gratitude, a smile appearing on his face. His bloodthirsty side had been quite the sight to see, no matter how terrifying; so many deaths in such a short time, so much blood pooling on the floors, only because a singular red skin tried to whip his sister. That red skin couldn't even get within a yard.

 • She patted him on the shoulder, grateful he saw reason for once. She actually gave him a hug at this point, not looking for reassurance for once. Though it rarely showed, she did love her brother for the most part. She decided it was a good time to remind him.

 • Ly smiled, happy that his protectiveness wasn't wasted on his sister, and hugged her back. Then the red skins came in and blew everything to bits, end. ((The second part never happened.))

 • She was... Happy. Content. Like she could just stay at the Dojo forever, the rest of her life. She didn't know where this new life would take them, but she was excited for them. She broke away, and looked him in the eyes. "Now, we really gotta work on talking to other people. We need to start talking to other people."

 • "You just said the same thing twice," Lh commented, frowning. "But okay. Who do we talk to first?" He asked, taking a small step back away from Ry.

 • "Okay." She leads him around for a little while, until they reach a room. It's labeled 'Ranger Grant'. "I think our best bet is to ask this Grant guy... Even though I cried last time..."

 • *Quincy could be seen walking along the wall outlining the courtyard, practicing some poetry from a forgotten language*

 • Ry tried to make her self as least conspicuous as possible, and it failed. Utterly. It was clear she didn't like contact, but she knew this guy would approach her. They always do.

 • *Quincy recognised Ry from earlier on that week, he got excited and wanted to say hi but his sixth sense said otherwise. He could, more or less, tell she wanted to be left alone at the time so he lied down on the wall on his back, reciting his forgotten poetry*

 • It wasn't that she wanted to be left alone, more that someone would hurt her if she said the wrong things. That, or she'd cry if home was brought up...

 • This scared Ry a little bit. She jumped up, and landed down on her knees. She got up, and half-waved back. "H-Hi..."

 • Its the only place i could get to, so i guess we're sort of here in the same circumstance. Both running from something, looking for shelter..
