I walk through the streets of dojoville, taking in the sounds of everyday life. Living here was great, better than old times, even. I had an actual house, in a town. Not one room in a complex. I enter my favorite pub, talking to the Bartender as he prepares my usual. Usually, someone I know walks in here. I silently wondered who might walk in this time.

  • A bulkier figure arrived at the entrance; a ten foot mech in shining plates, not having seen much combat. The giant poleaxe on his back matched the wear of his body, and he awkwardly made his way to the counter beside Duskwalker.
???: Motor oil, synthetic. Make it a double... feeling a little clogged up from the desert. -blam!-ing sand.
The bartender nodded.
Bartender: Yes... your name? Tauros: T-35, formerly T-39. Just call me Tauros for Naga's sake... and make it fast, the mage is waiting for me.
The bartender nodded, running off. The mech made quite a scene, his huge body taking up a lot of space and not bothering to sit in fear of crushing the furniture. His voice and name were familiar though... something akin to Mizzouri's old life... a "mage"...

  • Headshot sees him, with his VISIR zoomed in to him, he's currently unarmed, while donning his original armor from Reach. "Duskwalker, is that your name? You're the one who did the rather grotesque stuff back in that Golden City?

The pub door opens, metallic boots can be heard behind you. A deep, muffled voice speaks to you. The voice is somewhat familiar. "Ah, the Duskwalker. Haven't seen you since the Coalition." The man sits down next to you, then hits a button on his wrist. His helmet folds down into his armor, revealing a worn out face with a deep scar going down his right eye. His eyes were a bright red, yet they almost seemed lifeless. "So how have you?" He says as he nods to the bartender for a drink.

  • I smile genuinely, seeing such an old friend was rare. He was right, it had been months since I'd seen him. The Coalition crashes and burned, and I fled with what remained of my organization. They were all killed or left to go starts new lives. I take a sip of drink, and set it on the counter with a faint thud before replying. Kent, I haven't seen you in a long time, friend; I've been doing good. I duck as a bottle flies over my head and smashes against the wall, the sound of the glass unheard over the din of the bar. ....And how have you been?

  • Kent takes a sip of his alcohol, then stares at the glass for a few seconds. "I lost my emotions to some weird voice in my head. But other than that I've been great." He finishes the drink then asks for another, taking a quick sip once more after his refill.

  • Let me guess, Vernon helped you with that. I down the rest of my drink and signal for another one, albeit in a smaller glass. I've been living here for the last few weeks. It's pretty nice, I will admit. When I left this place it was a shithole, but it's really been turned around.

  • "Surprisingly Vernon didn't help me." Kent finishes his drink but doesn't ask for another, he just has the empty glass sit there. "I haven't really been to this place at all. I kind of just stopped by to see what it's like, seeing as though everyone has practically started from this place."

  • Yeah, I guess it all did start here. Y'know, Mizz first showed me the place. That was years ago. I loved it, the fighting. The blood. I wasn't all stable in the head, though. I still can't go near a snake without seeing Kaleb's face, and hearing him telling me to shoot him. I shudder. It had to be done, though. To end That chaotic time.

  • Kent lets out a sigh. "Yeah. What was done had to be done." He asks for another drink. "Not much you could really do in that situation."

  • Yeah.... I know. Well, time to burn that depressing house down and get in to a different topic! I take long swig out of my newly refreshed glass. Will you be staying here, or are you just passing through?

  • "I'll be staying for a while. I have no where else to go." Kent finishes his glass again, this time asking for a mug of bourbon. "Know any good places to stay? Maybe even some good people to fight?"

  • There's an inn down the road from here, if you want. But if you'd rather not, my Hut has a spare room. As far as people to fight, I don't really know. Haven't gotten to fight as much as I'd like.

Kent gets his mug filled with bourbon, then takes a sip. "Alright. Thanks, I'll have to check out the Inn first, see if I like it. If not I'll stay at your place for a bit." He straightens his back, then cracks his neck. "I really need to fight someone soon. I've been dying to do it for months."

  • I would fight you, but I have some business to attend to rather soon. Maybe some other time. I down the rest of my drink and stand up, my tall figure towering over the bartender. I'll see you around, Kent. I still have the Comms equipment from the Coalition, so you can contact through that.
I have some business with a bed and a pillow. I'm exhausted.
• Kent finishes his drink then stands too, thanking the bartender for the drinks. "Alright, if I need you I'll make sure to contact you." He then walks out of the pub, hitting a button on his wrist, forming a helmet around his head.
