there was no response, save for a light groan as the lone pilot tried to get up and failed, you recognized that voice....... the smoke began to clear, and you saw a lean figure with the gangly limbs and stature of youth, and you also seemed to recognize the cloak and armor the figure wore, even though it was torn and tattered, and there was blood, machine oil, and fur caked around the chest piece from three wounds ....It was alpha

  • Sawyer thought he'd heard the the voice of someone he knew, the interior of the relatively small and nimble fighter craft known to him already, though through the smoke and growing flame it was hard to distinguish anything. His eyes stung from the smoke that rushed into them, yet he forged ahead, identifying and grabbing the body of the small person trapped inside. It was an easy lift, as Sawyer was strong and the person he lifted was small and frail with blood loss. However, he'd felt the fur of the person under his hand, knowing that he wasn't human. Sawyer emerged with haste from the bowels of the burning ship. Plumes of smoke and rabid fire ascended into the air and danced across the carcass of the vessel. He laid the creature he rescued on the concrete gingerly but still maintaining his frantic speed, barely able to see with his eyes watering with burning pain. He brushed his eyes and cleared from them the water, only to see the misshapen creature was Alpha. He felt surprise for a brief moment, but any trace of it was absent from his face. Sawyer searched over his comrade's body, looking for mortal injuries and burns.

  • he was burnt under the armor in many places, his fur retaining the smell of charcoal so common around smoke, and he had many cuts and bruises besides the wounds on his chest, but after a second glance you knew he was only alive due to the fact that he had synthetic organs implanted awhile ago, and he needed medical help his helmet was on, and the cracked telescopic sights along the side shifted as he slowly began to move, waking up, but whimpering in pain as soon as he woke up
