[b][i][u]A past refusing to stay put[/u][/i][/b]
[i][u][b]Dojo Arena, Underworld simulation, 8:00 AM[/b][/u][/i]
*The sky in the arena is dark; Darker than it is outside, which is already pretty dark from the sun being hidden by the clouds and mountains surrounding the Dojo. Inside the arena Mortar fights a familiar hooded figure, one who has been seen by many of the elder members. She wears a brown leather hood over her face to prevent her identity to be seen, and wields two daggers, one an icy blue color, seemingly giving off a soft blue glow, the other a greyish brown color, small embers dotting the outside of it. Punch after punch, stab after stab, they don't seem to be stopping anytime soon.*
*That is, until someone runs into the arena, puffing slightly when he finally stops*
Man: Mistress Cyan... We have a problem.
*The woman quickly hears the man and ducks when Mortar throws a punch at her, then flips him over her, sending him into the dusty ground under him*
Woman: Hold up Mortar. What is the problem Elliott?
Man: Well... How can I put this... You know the stories you told us of the guards that chased you throughout your life because your father thought you were getting too strong?
*The woman suddenly stops in place. Her eyes widen under her hood and her face grows slightly paler*
Woman: Yes, I'm well aware of them...
Man: Well, uh, they just came through and killed no less than twelve members last night.
Woman: Of the Dojo or the Exiled?
Man: Exiled, ma'am.
*The woman quickly looks at Mortar before turning back to the man*
Woman: Call the Exiled here. They want war? We'll give them it.
*The man nods and he runs out, still puffing slightly*

*Cyan notices Sketch and Vorim and walks up to them, smiling despite the news she just got* Hello Sketch! It's been a while since we talked! Who's this?

"Oh, this is my older brother, Vorim'Tairn." *He makes eye contact with her for only a second before looking back down.* [u][b]H-Hi...[/b][/u]

Cyan: Well hello sir, nice to meet you. Mortar: Oh, I just realized something. Since Sketch is now a Sensei he might be able to help us out! Cyan: You're a Lieutenant Sketch? That's amazing; congrats!

"Yeah, thanks! Now... What am I helping with?"

*Cyan shifts uncomfortably before responding* Well, long ago, when I was first in the Exiled, Garuud, my father, sent these guards to kill me, fearing that I was getting too strong rather than dying in the snow like he planned. I recently learned of their return, and they made an attempted massacre at the base. We were able to fend them off but my sources tell me they murdered at least twelve of our members. That's a fifth of the clan.

"D@&$... That is not good... Who are these guards? What do they look like? How strong would you say they are?"

Cyan: These guards are humanoid beings who wear Roman style Valhite armor. Their skin color is a reddish brown color, and they're not as strong as the war beasts but are very strong, and if they're in teams of five they can do a lot of damage to everything around them

"D@&$... Okay... Well how will being a lieutenant help us out?"

Mortar: You have persuasion over the Dojo, maybe get some members to help us?

"Persuasion over the Dojo? I don't think a lot of the newer members trust me that much... Or a couple of older ones either... And I'm not sure I'm quite ready to exercise that power yet..."

Cyan: Fair enough. But if you change your mind, we're not hard to find. Much of the Exiled may stay at the Dojo so they don't freeze to death at night

"Okay... I still want to help but I'm just not exactly sure how other than helping you guys fight them." [spoiler]I'm actually not sure what I'm supposed to do to get other members to help... Should I just tell them to reply to you or something?[/spoiler]

Cyan: Thank you Sketch, it'll be good to have you fighting with us again. [spoiler] I just put that in there to notice that you are a lieutenant now. You don't have to [b]do[/b] anything[/spoiler]

"Oh, no problem! I'm always happy to help!" [u][b]M-Me too...[/b][/u] *Said Vorim, not looking up.* [spoiler]Ah, okay... By the way, I saw that other post that you made... I'm sure you'll become a lieutenant eventually, I think you'd be a good one.[/spoiler]

Cyan: that's great, that's what I liked a lot about you Sketch! [spoiler] thanks bud[/spoiler]

"Anything for my friends!" *Vorim nods in agreement.* "Okay... So we should come up with a plan to get rid of these guys... It sounds like neither the Exiled or the Dojo is safe as long as they're running around..."

Cyan: I've been trying to think of a good plan, but I haven't dealt with these guys in a while, and i don't know what new things they have on them.

"Hmm... What if we capture one of them and try and interrogate them? We could see what gear they have and try and get more info on what their plans are..."

Hmm.. *Cyan leans up against a boulder, lost in thought* That's... That's not a bad idea

"Yeah... I mean, if you need intel, capture one of the enemies. I will say, despite the fact that they're evil, I'm going to have to sit out if it comes to torture... But I can still threaten them..."

Cyan: Oh, I know some torture we can use if you let me do that

"Well... We should always try intimidation first... But if it doesn't work then I'll leave the room and you can just tell him I'm [i]preparing.[/i] You can torture them after that but the one thing you probably wouldn't want to hear when being held captive is that one of your captors is [i]preparing.[/i] It's a good intimidation tactic to go along with torture. I'm not happy I know this because I highly disapprove of torture unless they really, really deserve it, but it will make them afraid that I can do something even worse than whatever you're already doing to them."

Cyan: You're probably right, but [i]you[/i] don't know these guys. If your parents came back one day I won't be telling you how to deal with them, though I appreciate your input

"Oh... Sorry... But if my parents DID comeback I wouldn't be able to deal with them..."

Cyan: I mean that you know their strengths, weaknesses, the like.
