Aria was becoming extremely annoyed that her attacks were being blocked. She cast gnaw, causing insects to crawl underneath Jeremiah's armor and drain strength from his sword arm, as if he was chopping wood for the past hour. While his blows will still hit hard (it is a greatsword, after all) it becomes difficult to block a flurry of attacks. Aria was somewhat tired herself, though, as dark miracles take concentration, and she has already casted many spells in a short period.
