Aria walks up to the knight wielding a large Greatsword, and pauses to consider what to say. It seems that working with half-dead adventurers and insane hollows has caused her to forget her social graces. She probably should've thought of what to say before walking over instead of just loitering.
"Excuse me," she says, "My name is Aria, of Lindelt. I am not sure where to go from here. I came looking for a... a sort of arena, for warriors, mages, and slugthrowers to fight. I wish to... "
Aria pauses mid sentence, as she doesn't want to annoy her new neighbor with unnecessary details, and waits for a response.

"You wish to fight of course!" [b]The man sounds kind, and smiles warmly immediately understanding her predicament. [/b] "But of course to fight you must become a member'"

"And what would the requirements be to become a member? I've had a lovely trip, so we can get started right away."

"None. Anyone and everyone may become a member."

While my trip was pleasant, it was dreadfully boring, so I'd like the chance to spar to make sure I haven't forgotten anything. We must stop sparring once you break my magic barrier. I rarely wear armor. I can heal you if I pierced your armor, though."

"Of course. Please follow me." [b]He takes you to the arena, leaving the other Knight at the gates [/b]

On the way, Aria stops at several locations to look at the alien architecture, and tries figure out how they enchanted the gate. After catching up, she says "You already know my name. So I don't look like an idiot later, what's yours?"

"Jeremiah. Pleasure to meet you Aria. If you have any questions feel free to ask."

Once Aria and Jeremiah got to the Dojo, she layed down her bags a pulled tucked her chime in her robes. She pulled out a small shield with the visage of an eagle and strapped a shortsword around her waist, and pulled her spear from her back, and casted several miracles to fortify her defenses and waited for Jeremiah to prepare. She recited the miracles quickly and quitely before she casted then, and was excited for a chance to figure out the way these foreigners fight.

"Are you prepared, Aria?" [b]He asked as he held his greatsword with one hand [/b]

"I am." Aria holds her shield in front of her, and angles her spear to fight.

"The challenger makes the first move."

She dashes to Jeremiah's right, behind his sword, and quickly slashes from his shoulder down his arm. One of the benefits of magical barriers is that they don't slow you down like heavy armor or get snagged on anything like leather or mail. [spoiler]Did you make that yourself? It's very impressive.[/spoiler]

Edited by shell: 10/7/2016 12:38:45 AMAnnoyed by Jeremiah thwarting what should've been a perfect strike, Aria casts Wrath of The Gods (staggers and guard breaks) and slashes several times before strafing back and quickly throwing a lightning spear. She will have to bring extremely aggressive to combat her foe's inhuman speed.

Edited by shell: 10/7/2016 12:55:57 AMAria was becoming extremely annoyed that her attacks were being blocked. She cast gnaw, causing insects to crawl underneath Jeremiah's armor and drain strength from his sword arm, as if he was chopping wood for the past hour. While his blows will still hit hard (it is a greatsword, after all) it becomes difficult to block a flurry of attacks. Aria was somewhat tired herself, though, as dark miracles take concentration, and she has already casted many spells in a short period.

"Exciting!" [b]He tosses the sword Into his other arm, holding It with both hands, giving him some strength back, though not much. He steps forward, swinging downwards [/b]

Aria was too tired to dodge, so she tightened her grip on her chime and allowed her magic barrier to repulse the blow. The attack still knocked her on her back, however, and she rolled to the side and clumsily stumbled to her feet. She sheathed her shortsword, and imbued her shield with her chime before tucking it underneath her belt. She pulled out her spear, and blocked several hits with her shield while fighting up close, and doing quick jabs with her spear. She could not keep up this pace for long without absorbing her magic barrier, which is far too dangerous.

[b]He continuously attacked, before his dominant arm slipped off and he wildly swinged with the sword, making an easy dodge [/b]

Aria takes the opportunity to stab Jeremiah in the stomach. She then backed away and sat down. "Okay... First blood... Get over here so I can heal you." She was panting heavily and obviously was looking to end the match.

[b]Jeremiah chuckles slightly, looking down at the wound which hadn't gone to deep to his armor [/b] "You rely to much on your so called miracles."

"This trip has left me out of practice, but even then, I do have trouble engaging armored targets in close combat. No miracles can cut through armor, and I've never had very good weapons. Where can I buy some here?" Aria did not realize it before, but as an undead hailing from a land of hollows, souls were her only currency. Nobody would accept souls here, in this civilized land. "Oh... It seems I may not be able to afford them. Well, then, I can heal you, anyway." She holds her chime and utters a short prayer.

"You can talk to Zane. He's the dojo blacksmith."
