What I don't like about the way politics function nowadays is that everyone is expected to pick a certain side and viewpoint and stick to it. If I'm proved wrong, I should change my viewpoint. Say I grew up in a bunker and believed the sky was green. Well, one day I went out to see the sky and found that it was blue. I shouldn't maintain that the sky was green purely because I "have to be loyal."
